Description

The space

There are in total 3 or 4 bedrooms in our flat available. And the living-room. The flat is huge (over 200m2. Your room has a double bed - so if you need to be 3 or 4 people in there we can provide an extra bed :)

Guest access

Guests have the room for themselves. You have your own key to the house and flat and your room - so you can stay and come any time you want. Other parts of the flat are shared. The flat is super - new - and big (really large for Prague center - it has in total something like 200 m2.)

Guests have access to the shared separate WC (small bathroom with only a sink and a toilet.) Guest have access to the shared big bathroom (there is the shower and two sink and the laundry-machine, but you have to use your own laundry detergent - small pack for sell in the local 24/7 on the corner of the street.)

Guests have access to the kitchen sink, fridge, microwave, dishes, cutlery, dishwasher and water kettle (for hot water) it is possible to do small soup, tea or coffee for a snack or instant food that needs only hot water. Not suitable for big meals like preparing meat or pasta.

PARKING
You can choose - free of charge on the street near by just as we do - or the paid security parking that is directly in our street.
Do never park at the BLUE LINE zone, that is illegal!
(You can risk it though for example for deploying the luggage in our place, but we recommend it for a very short time only)

The PAID SECURITY parking is easy to be find, there are 4 parking spaces that are watched - all of them directly in our street Tesnov - easy to be find under the elevated road and close to the McDonnalds.

The parking FREE OF CHARGE is near by on the streets. Drive the street Tesnov up to the traffic light at the McDonnalds - go straight, BEHIND the McDonnalds turn LEFT and there you are. Behind the elevated road is the old district called KARLIN = that is Prague 8 (whilst our house is still Old Town Prague 1 with all the bad bad Blue Zones.)
There, in Karlin, you can park free of charge ANYWHERE where it is legal.
So for example the streets: Za Poricskou Branou, Sokolovska, Pobrezni, Krizikova are the nearest spots to park the car and then also walk to our house only 4 minutes.
In the street Za Poricskou branou is the great restaurant Gui Lin and also some traditional Czech beer pubs / restaurants - much cheaper and maybe too much 'authentic' - then there are in the Old Town touristic area.

Interaction with guests

The living room is really huge and people in the flat are nice to talk with. I can give advice where to go, about art and have a talk about international relationships, life in Prague and other places i have been and travels. I am also curious about what is your story and life.

Hi there.
I am Werni (Wernas)
Before we joined started AirBnB we had already 120 happy CouchSurfers that stayed over during the years.
My mother was a city-tour-guide, that is how she met my dad actually. I am passionate about Prague history and its buildings. So, if you like, i can tell you hints where to go and stuff. I stay over in the flat not all the time. Sometimes i am in the living-room. I am half Czech and half German - so i speak, Czech, German and English. I love if the guest keep the place clean and respect the rules. If you need anything in addition do not hesitate to ask :)

If i am here, i like to go to lunch with the guests - if you like to - from time to time. I do not like to eat alone :D I love to listen to your stories or tell my experiences from travelling - especially southeast Asia is a big passion of mine.

Also we are almost constantly online, so you can also ask using the airbnb app or website, we will be happy to help you.

The neighbourhood

Our neighborhood is rather calm and safe. There are some hotels and ministry office buildings and old town residential areas - with lots of pubs, clubs, banks, groceries, barbers, shops, malls and the pharmacy and all you probably could think of - in immediate near by. There is a children playground near by and a place to go running - at the riverside.) There is a public swimming-pool 2 minutes by walk.

Getting around

Our location is absolutely excellent.
Old town square is only 10 minutes direct walk!
In the same time we have all the public transport options you could possibly think of directly at our location that runs 24 / 7.

You can either walk all over old town (and to visit all the sights you need) or use the great Prague public transport.

There is the tram stop TESNOV right in-front of our house. However the tram 14 is not a frequent one. But the near stop FLORENC is served by all buses (24/7) including the international transports and by both subway lines: the yellow line B and the red line C. As well there are night trams (they go from midnight until the morning every day in a frequency of 10 minutes i guess) and during the day there is plenty of trams - trams also stop at Bila Labut - another near by tram stop - only 4 minutes by walk. Also there are buses at day and more even at night time (from 00,00 midnight until 4:30 a.m. in the morning)

Other things to note

Our flat is in a residential house, where families and old Czech people live. So it really has to be quiet after 22:00 in the evening and it is not allowed to be noisy in the house. The area however is a great location and if you want to see the city you will love to stay here.
Our A.C. is usually off - as it rarely gets too hot here in Prague - however, if it is above 28 °C do not hesitate to request the switch on of the A.C.

The heating is a central heating that is in the flat. Also the A.C. is in the flat centrally. So it gets to the room through the open door. We recommend to leave the window closed during hot days and to open the door from the room, so it can cool down during the day from the AC that is in the living room and corridor. The same applies to the heating, although the flat is super new, so the room is generally warm from all the sides.

House Rules
No smoking
Not suitable for pets
No parties or events
Check-in time is 6PM - 9PM.

- no smoking in the flat or in the house
- absolute silence after 22 oclock and before 8 oclock
- keep all private things in your oom (towels, soup, toothbrushes etc.)
- take off the shoes in the flat, we do never wear shoes inside the flat
- check out time has to be respected

Thank you! ;)
We boleave this few rules will make your stay comfortable.

We do not smoke inside the flat. We do not smoke anywhere in the house. Only in the park in front of the house. You have to take the key, go by elevator down stairs and then out, in front of the building. We also do not drink inside the flat and do not take any kind of drugs. No marijuana or other stuff. Guests of AirBnB are not permitted to invite anyone who does not pay to stay in the flat during the period of accommodation. This is really strict - no parties are allowed. Simply, because there are other people in the flat, who go to work (even on weekends sometimes).
So, we are friendly and help out each-other and respect each other - that means, do not leave private things on the shared areas and keep all places clean and do not make noise before 8:00 in the morning and keep it totally quiet after 22:00 in the night.

Hello, Werni here.
I like literature - classic books from Bulgakov or Marquese, but also Neil Gaiman and modern Chinese literature. I am half Czech half German so interculture learning and understanding is another one of my passions. I do provide training on that on international workshops and seminaries. Arts and especially music is another thing i love and do every day - singing, playing the guitar.
And i love my city. My mother was a tourguide, so if you need to know anything about where to go and how to enjoy the time here - just ask me.
The best thing you can do in Prague is actually this: get lost, forget where you are and follow your nose - i guess, you will not be dissapointed and the experiences you gain during "wondering nonsencely" around are usually one of the best ones.
So far about me :)
