About this listing

If you book for one person, you will stay alone in the room, if you book for 2 people, only you two will stay in the room alone, You have your own key and can come and go any time you wish. It is private and safe. It is directly in the heart of Prague - Old Town (Stare Mesto.) The location has all shops, banks, pharmacy, clubs, and public transport immediately near by. A comfortable stay to visit Prague is ensured. Nice room and best location.

The space

Private room, only for you. The rest of the apartment is shared with other guests. And the living-room. Bathroom and separate toilet with also a basin to wash. The flat is huge (over 200m2. You have your own key and can come and go any time you wish. There are in total 3 or 4 bedrooms in this flat available.

Guest access

Guest access

Guests have the room for themselves. You have your own key to the house and flat and your room - so you can stay and come any time you want. Other parts of the flat are shared. The flat is super - new - and big (really large for Prague center - it has in total something like 200 m2.)

Guests have access to the shared separate WC (small bathroom with only a sink and a toilet.) Guest have access to the shared big bathroom (there is the shower and two sink and the laundry-machine, but you have to use your own laundry detergent - small pack for sell in the local 24/7 on the corner of the street.)

Guests have access to the kitchen sink, fridge, microwave, dishes, cutlery, dishwasher and water kettle (for hot water) it is possible to do small soup, tea or coffee for a snack or instant food that needs only hot water. Not suitable for big meals like preparing meat or pasta. If you wish, you can book the whole apartment only for yourself and then also use the stove+oven. But with the status of the flat as shared we had many complaints from our guests in the past, about the kitchen being not cleaned by the other guests.

You can choose - free of charge on the street near by just as we do - or the paid security parking that is directly in our street.
Do never park at the BLUE LINE zone, that is illegal!
(You can risk it though for example for deploying the luggage in our place, but we recommend it for a very short time only)

The PAID SECURITY parking is easy to be find, there are 4 parking spaces that are watched - all of them directly in our street Tesnov - easy to be find under the elevated road and close to the McDonnalds.

The parking FREE OF CHARGE is at the street Ostrov Stvanice, this whole island is free of charge to Park and it is only 300 meters from our house.

Interaction with guests

The living room is really huge and people in the flat are nice to talk with. I can give advice where to go, about art and have a talk about international relationships, life in Prague and other places i have been and travels. I am also curious about what is your story and life.

Hi there.
I am Werni (Wernas)
Before we joined started AirBnB we had already 120 happy CouchSurfers that stayed over during the years.
My mother was a city-tour-guide, that is how she met my dad actually. I am passionate about Prague history and its buildings. So, if you like, i can tell you hints where to go and stuff. I stay over in the flat not all the time. Sometimes i am in the living-room. I am half Czech and half German - so i speak, Czech, German and English. I love if the guest keep the place clean and respect the rules. If you need anything in addition do not hesitate to ask :)

If i am here, i like to go to lunch with the guests - if you like to - from time to time. I do not like to eat alone :D I love to listen to your stories or tell my experiences from travelling - especially southeast Asia is a big passion of mine.

Also we are almost constantly online, so you can also ask using the AirBnB app or website in case you can not find some information on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), we will be happy to help you.

Other things to note

The heating is a central heating that is in the flat. Also the A.C. is in the flat centrally. So it gets to the room through the open door. We recommend to leave the window closed during days over 28°C and to open the door from the room, so it can cool down during the day from the AC that is in the living room and corridor. Days below 28°C is opposite, open the windows to cool the room.

The place is on top of a residential house, where families and old Czech people live. So it really has to be quiet after 22:00 in the evening and it is not allowed to be noisy in the house. The area however is a great location and if you want to see the city you will love to stay here.

Our A.C. is usually off - as it rarely gets too hot here in Prague so we open the windows in the summer usually. However, if the weather is above 28°C on the outside for more days, do not hesitate to request the switch on of the A.C.

House Rules
No smoking
Not suitable for pets
No parties or events
Check in is anytime after 4PM

- as it is a shared flat, please no private things in the bath, kitchen or other areas (take towels, soap, toothbrushes etc. to the room)
- take off shoes in the flat, don't wear outdoor shoes inside the flat
- keep the bathroom clean and dry (use mop after every use of the bath to dry the floor)
- silence after 22:00 o'clock (to let others sleep comfortably, we recommend to please avoid talking voicily, don't stomp in the flat and please avoid smashing the door) until 8:00 in the morning
- no smoking in the house or flat
- for 'how to use' questions read the house manual and guest access section of our description (space for preparing food, stove, fridge, microwave, oven) only some is available, depending on what type you book - if the "whole apartment for yourself" or only the "room with shared facilities"
- check out before the given time (10 a.m.)

Please, after every use of the bathroom, use the mop to swipe the floor. It dries then better and looks nicer also to you or to other guests who might use the bath after you.

We do not smoke inside the flat. We do not smoke anywhere in the house. Only in the park in front of the house. You have to take the key, go by elevator down stairs and then out, in front of the building.
We also do not drink inside the flat and do not take any kind of drugs. No marijuana or other stuff.
Guests of AirBnB are not permitted to invite anyone who does not pay to stay in the flat during the period of accommodation.
This is really strict - no parties are allowed to not disturb the other guests in the home and the other inhabitants of the whole house.
After 22:00 p.m. the silence is a law in the whole country so even the police can be called by the neighbours.

Do not make noise before 8:00 in the morning and keep it totally quiet after 22:00 in the night.

Do not leave private belongings (also no trash or other things) in the shared area. The big trash bins are in the backyard of the house behind the elevator down stairs.

Thank you for reading it all and paying attention. Enjoy your stay! :D

Werner place it's just amazing. The apartment it's on the top floor has a lot of space, plants, it's bright, comfortable and has an awesome location. It's 5 min from Prague Florenc (bus station), 10min from the main square in the old city. The room is amazing, really beautiful. It was a great experience. Werner It's also really good with the communication, he sent me a lot of messages explaining how the check-in works, where to get free wifi around the apartment, tips for where to leave my luggage, restaurant and turistic recomendations, and so on. Realy awesom host!

Although we stayed just for one night, we had great communication and Werner gave us many tips about where to go near the appartment and was overall very kind. Public transports are really near and the city center yo can reach by feet. The only downside was, that the windows could not be shaded, which is a bit annoying when sun rises at 5.30 am. But all in all we had a very pleasent stay!

[11/05 9:17 PM] Hk Heiko: Your mission should you choose to accept it is to enter to the "James Bond AirBnB" :-) you will be issued with a building access code and very detailed  instructions as soon as your  payment is accepted. Later , - on the day of your check in, -  just before you  check in,  a special door key code will  be messaged to you which lets you collect the physical key from a secret location  (make sure you take correct colour, as per instructions).  The  key  lets  you  unlock the door and  -  voila you have made it !!!  Now your mission has started! You  will  need to have wifi/data/internet access to  receive these instructions esp the last  minute key  code. But that too is in the first instructions. (Free wifi at close-by Subway  station  FLORENC, or directly at the front door of the appt, password is emailed in first lot of instructions ). Upon  arrival  a spacious  & clean  light  place  greeted  us. Location is  great. Value for money  is  really good. Bathrooms big clean nice hot water, (BYO soap, shampoo). Memories of student  share house  came  back to  me, as we met one or  two of  the  other  guests staying  in  the five  or  so rooms for travellers.  It was quiet  and not crowded when  we  stayed. There are two  bathrooms and two toilets so no trafffic jams in the morning/evenings. We had  received detailed  instructions  from the  host, which  made  sure that  everyone knew how to  keep the place working  smoothly (viz  clean  up after yourself, don't  leave junk in the bathroom (repeated  a few times), dry the  dishes (BYO dishcloth) and  all the usual instructions to  keep a  place of  strangers running well).  The host "W", we didn't see,  though  communicactions and replies  were always  quick.   Only travellers stay at this place. -- it all added to the "James Bond" feel.  It was great  to  have a  kitchen. The very  clear  instructions everyone gets from  the host, must have  worked, because eveyone  kept the  place clean, dishes away, and  all  tidy  :-) Ditto for bathrooms. Impressive. I have a dim memory that the stove is not included in standard issue missions, but anyway the  stove  top worked when  we  arrived,  and  following Werner's advise  to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)  the  instructions  we managed to  use  it. Last two days there was  no  power to the stove.  If  you  want to  know how to use  it: quick  instructions are here  (URL HIDDEN) The  full manual for unlocking and everthing you've  ever wanted to know about your Ariston hotplates but were   afraid to ask (URL HIDDEN)  Operating Instructions - Ariston Brand accidental changes to the hob settings (see Start- up and use). • CONTROL PANEL LOCK indicator light shows the control panel has been locked (see Start-up and use). • COOKING ZONE POWER SELECTOR buttons switch on the hotplate and ... Of course it would all be much easier to use  teleportation but  the  host specifically asked us not to  :-P  (see bottom...

Hello, Werni here.
I like literature - classic books from Bulgakov or Marquese, but also Neil Gaiman and modern Chinese literature. I am half Czech half German so interculture learning and understanding is another one of my passions. I do provide training on that on international workshops and seminaries. Arts and especially music is another thing i love and do every day - singing, playing the guitar.
And i love my city. My mother was a tourguide, so if you need to know anything about where to go and how to enjoy the time here - just ask me.
The best thing you can do in Prague is actually this: get lost, forget where you are and follow your nose - i guess, you will not be dissapointed and the experiences you gain during "wondering nonsencely" around are usually one of the best ones.
So far about me :)
