Wapta Mountain Suites is Yoho National Park’s newest guest accommodation, located in the charming and scenic village of Field, BC! Spectacularly situated at the foot of Mt. Stephen & perched directly above historic St. Joseph's church, guests enjoy one-of-a-kind views of the Kicking Horse River valley & Mt. Burgess from their comfy Adirondack chairs. We’re perfectly located for easy access to Lake Louise (20 mins drive), Emerald Lake/Lake O'Hara (10mins drive), Banff/Golden (1 hour).

The space
This bright, immaculately-kept 650sq. ft open-concept studio suite is situated on the lower level of our split-level Eastern white-pine log home & features a private guest walk-out deck entrance. Guests enjoy contactless check-in with key-code entrance, a drive-way car park and private yard access. The suite has been decorated with a rustic modern appeal including pops of vintage decor and pine-wood accents.

The suite layout incorporates a studio bedroom : Plush queen size bed on a new platform frame with roll-out drawers, bedside tables, mirror & large clothes wardrobe. Additional sound insulation has been installed within the flooring for maximum sound isolation between the guest & host levels.

Adjacent to the studio bedroom is a lounge area with a new convertible comfy Queen pull-out couch (we tested many brands to find the best), mid-century modern flex furniture & leather ottoman, 42" Smart full-tilt TV with Roku Streaming Stick (provides access to guest subscriptions of Netflix, Prime, Crave, Disney+, Sports Network etc...

Across the studio suite is a vintage 1950s writing desk from Emerald Lake Lodge, 25 Mbps Wi-Fi connectivity, a cozy cushion-filled nook dining area + brand-new kitchen with dishwasher. The studio layout is cozy yet spacious for a couple or family of 3 and intimate, but roomy for groups of 4.

Additional Suite Features:
The spacious bathroom features a large, porcelain tiled shower with glass sliding barn door, luxury rainfall massage showerhead, hexagon tiled flooring and bamboo bath bench for a relaxing spa experience! The bathroom also features a large floating vanity with pull-out drawer for personal belongings & vintage towel ladder.

The new kitchen features butcher block countertops, dishwasher, glass-top stove + oven, ducted hood fan, microwave, and fridge/freezer. The kitchen is fully-contained with everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal, including dishware, cutlery, utensils, and cooking pots/pans. Kicking Horse Coffee is well-stocked along with a selection of teas, milk and sugar. The kitchen is also prepped with salt & pepper, a few seasonings, olive oil and salad vinegar for guest convenience.
