This place has a great location. Right next to a pizza and mexican restaurant as well as a corner store that carries anything you might have forgotten. The place has even more space than the pictures indicate. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall the place was great. We were within walking distance of the downtown area and the size of the place was perfect for our group. Parking was a bit of an issue however. Would stay again.

It was really nice and cozy place as you can see throgh pictures. Metro station is very near so it was easy to access downtown. We enjoyed here very much.

Convenient location from downtown, only one mile. Roomy, three levels, it was good for a family reunion with three children, 2-9. Kitchen was well stocked with kitchenware and spices.

Angela was hands down the worst Airbnb host I've had to endure. She was inexcusably hot and cold in her communication. At first she was inordinately friendly with me when I was discussing the house with her. Then, in a flash, she made it clear that I was not to bother her with questions, that she was too busy closing on another home purchase, I presume so she could rent that out as a hotel too. This represents the worst of what Airbnb is: people amassing properties and driving up rents for everyone; and in the meantime, they are fractured hosts too busy with other things to bother with their guests. She took two inexcusable days to approve my request for an extra day on our rental. And later when I asked her questions about bedding, she told me that pesky questions should be directed to her friend. When I then asked her another question, she snapped at me. She did not meet us at the house, but put the key in a box at the door that was hard to understand. She did not properly communicate to us about how the box worked or tell us that we could keep using it during our stay, causing us inordinate problems with greeting people coming into the house in phases. We had no heat in the place for the first two days. (We deserve a rent rebate for this law-breaking offense.) No one returned my calls or messages about this for almost 24 hours--neither Angela nor her assistant. (She didn't even give us the assistant's cell phone; it was a work number.) And she was highly clumsy in sending someone to fix it, presuming that that person could get the key from the box at the door, but never telling me to put it there. (She was out of town. Why in the world did no one else in town have the key??) The house was lovely, but one air mattress had a leak and the other was subpar. We had to buy a second air mattress ourselves. This was a highly stressful trip for me as it was, involving a lot of moving pieces; and Angela's negligence and passive-aggressive cruelty only added to that stress. She really should not be permitted to treat guests so dismissively. If it were up to me, I would forbid her to rent on Airbnb.

Response from Angela:
WOW! Ben, pretty shocked to hear this given that your last text message to me was, "otherwise, thanks for a great house to use for our canvassing group." Ben had an inordinate amount of questions 3 months prior to arrival. Every single one of his questions could have been answered on the app. Eventually, I asked that he send all of his questions to my partner who could handle them because yes, I was closing on another house. We were absolutely willing to answer them but she had more time on her hands than me at the moment. The questions stopped. I have never met anyone at the house - there is a lockbox. Apparently Ben has no idea what a lockbox is because he not only couldn't open it with the 4 digit code but at the end of his stay he didn't put the keys back in the lockbox but instead, locked the door, opened the window slightly and slipped the key back through the window causing us to have to use a locksmith to get back in for the cleaning. The reason no one else in the world had a key is because the house was horrifically vandalized by homophobic AirBnB renters and the lock was a brand new lock - there are now several copies of the key but at the moment, we did not have time to get extra sets made. The heat issue is not law breaking, it was the first time of the season that the heat was going to be used (despite it being 70 degrees and beautiful in Philadelphia and the pilot needed to be turned on. It could have been addressed on the very first day but we could not gain access to the house. At first, I was VERY excited to host Ben as they were helping with the Hillary campaign - as it turns out, he was the most high maintenance, rude and entitled guest I've ever had the misfortune of having to deal with.

My family came into town for a wedding, 9 of us total. Everything that was in the ad for this location was 100% accurate. We stayed 3 nights, and the place offered a feeling of being in our own home! Sleeping accommodations were great, we used uber everyday instead of a car rental, ordered Chinese twice from a place 900 feet away, and always felt safe and comfortable. Angela is an awesome host, and I would recommend her properties 100%.

Life isn't a dress rehearsal - you only live once so make the most of it and travel as much as possible! Through traveling is where we really find out what we're made of. I enjoy rugged traveling just as much as luxury traveling - it just depends what my mood calls for. I love to entertain so you'll find that the house is set up for having fun - I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
