This was my first Airbnb experience. I was in New York for a vacation and wanted to see as much of New York City as possible. I chose an Airbnb place in Brooklyn to save money on hotels. I also purchased an unlimited ride Metrocard and rode the subway every day. The property is exactly as described. You basically have a studio flat to yourself, with your own entrance, which is well-equipped and has a double bed, cooker and shower. The location is a walkable distance to the nearest subway stops (10-15 minutes to Avenue I or Bay Parkway). Rose is a great host and will go out of her way to help you. She picked me up from the 20 Avenue subway stop on the first night, showed me round the local neighbourhood and was keen to make sure everything was ok. She also has an excellent knowledge of Brooklyn and is clearly passionate about the area in which she lives. If you want to stay in Brooklyn, sightsee in Brooklyn, or spend most of your time in Brooklyn then this property is a good choice. If on the other hand you want to spend most of your time sightseeing in Manhattan it is possible to do so but you need to consider the trade off between money saved and time spent. It takes about an hour on the subway into central Manhattan. This is doable but it does add up over time. So keep this in mind if you are only in New York for a short stay. You should also be aware that the subway tends to change routes and do construction work etc on evenings and weekends so this could impact on your travel plans. If you are only interested in sightseeing in Manhattan or your time is tighter than your budget then I would perhaps consider something more centrally located. Thanks to Rose for being such a kind and accommodating host. I will use Airbnb again.

Rose was an amazing host, so accommodating and kind. She greeted me with a hug and took me for a drive to show me around the neighbourhood. She also took me grocery shopping. During my stay, there was a snow storm which I was not prepared for. Without even asking, Rose checked in on me and offered me a coat and snow boots, which saved the day! I had the pleasure of meeting Rose's family who were all so welcoming and charming. The apartment itself is fantastic, very spacious, clean, and well-equipped. And as others have mentioned, the shower is spa-grade. The location was also great - in a very quiet, safe area, within walking distance to the subway. I had a brilliant time and would highly recommend Rose's apartment! Thanks so much Rose for everything!

Rose was great and welcomed us with hugs. She showed us the neighborhood and took us grocery shopping. The place was clean and had everything we wanted. Rose was also very helpful and dropped us at the Metro Station on the next day of our arrival. She was always willing to help us and also made us cookies on New Year's Eve. She also dropped us at the bus station on the day we left. It was a great stay at Rose's place and would definitely recommend it.

If you are looking for a place that is close to NYC and with convenient public transportation, this is the place to stay! Rose is an amazing host, and is available anytime if you have any questions or need anything. She also gave me and my best friend a full tour of the neighborhood, so we knew where everything was. The space is very clean and comfortable. By far the best experience I've had using an Airbnb.

Where to begin! Rose was an AMAZING host. Super host is an understatement. Not only did she great us with hugs, but she made us Thanksgiving dinner since we flew in on Thanksgiving. Then she took us to get alcohol and groceries for our stay. I had to go to urgent care because my stomach ulcers flared up the third day we were there and she brought me ginger tea and hot soup. Don't think it gets much better than that! She made me feel right at home, I never wanted to leave! This cute little studio was just perfect for our stay. It was centrally located, walking distance to the subway, affordable and super cozy! Don't even get me started on that spa shower. It was to die for. I literally spent the first 30 minutes drinking champagne in the shower. All that being said, I can't WAIT to come back and I would highly highly recommend this place for anyone staying in New York. Thanks again for everything Rose you are the absolute best!

Not only is Rose's place a great value for staying in NYC, but having her as a host was awesome! Rose's place was exactly as described, clean, cozy and fully stocked with the necessities (and the shower was great too). What made the experience even better was Rose herself. She greeted us with hugs when we arrived, treated us like family and was even sweet enough to give us little welcome presents for our daughters. Rose was extremely generous and thoughtful throughout our stay, checking in on us and always offering us anything if needed. It was great! Overall, great place and even better host! Do not hesistate to stay with Mama Rose while in NYC! Thanks for everything Rose!
