The lagune is truly magnificent, with pristine, calm water at your doors step. You have a private deck and a lovely garden at your disposal and can paddle or swim easily to even better places or simply spend the day reading in the hammock. The cenote azul is at 30 min walking di…

This place is really beautiful. It is located a short drive/bike ride from the main area of Bacalar, but also within walking distance of a couple of bar/restaurant places. The place itself is situated just back from the Laguna and has a lovely area on the laguna you can use with…

Our 3 days staying with Lynn were fantastic. The guesthouse is in a paradise location and was very clean and extremely comfortable. Lynn and her husband Dick made us feel very welcome and allowed us to use their garden and pier as much as we liked. We could cook in the guesthouse…

Beautiful casita in a bautiful location. The garden and the dock are so beautiful. Although we did have a lot of ants, the house was clean! The bed was lovely and there was a tap for clean drinking water wich we really liked. Without the bikes it's a good way to the centre. So we…

It was a shame that your visit coincided with the biggest rains we've seen in a long time. The internet and ant issues quickly resolved after your visit, so hopefully next time you come you can enjoy the world wide web from an ant-free casita in the tropics :). The bicycles aren't really meant for guests, though we've lent them on occasion as an additional courtesy. Thankfully taxis are cheap and abundant in Bacalar, too, which makes the 1.5km to town easy.

I am so happy that our first Airbnb experience was at Casa Aguacate! The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The bathroom looks new and very clean. The kitchenette looked well equipped although we went out for meals. One thing I loved was a spout of filtered water in the kitch…
