Our room was great. It was very spacious. The breakfast was great. It was actually provided by the cafe next door. The hotel was located about 10 min walk from centro.

My friends and I stayed four nights in tulum at pacha hotel. It is a very small apartment complex with just a few apartments in a backyard. We had the biggest apartment for three people, so I can just tell my opinion on that. The room is definitely big enough for three persons. But you only have a very loud air condition and an even louder fen. You have a wooden roof that is not quite good equipped with mosquito nets. You also have the big mosquito nets over your bed, but they have huge holes. At night you can here a lot of the trucks from the Main Street and other noise as well. To the beach you have to walk like 3km or go there by car/bike/taxi. The apartment is pretty close to the Main Street of tulum, where you can get some dinner. When you rent the apartment you can get free breakfast at the pacha restaurant in front of the apartment. Food and drinks where pretty good and the staff was very kind. All in all for the price the apartment is a little expensive, it is far from the beach + you definitely have to deal with the mosquitos and especially the noise problem. So after four nights I can imagine that there are better places to stay in tulum.

The hotel was exactly like described in the hotel description and in other reviews here. We really enjoyed our stay there. The hosts are very friendly guys, we felt really welcome there. The room we had (or more a hut with a straw roof) was spacious, quite and very cozy. It's true, the noise from the road could be heard, but the birds singing in the garden really compensated for it. The Pachatulum, the restaurant they have a collaboration with, is just beside the lobby and has some really good food. The breakfast is included, although we had to wait at minimum 20 minutes for it, everytime. But it's not so bad, we were on holidays :-) And I loved the mexican breakfast! Chilaqiles and huevos ranchero style... Great! :-D

I had a fantastic time at Pacha! The room was cute, simple, and very clean. The restaurant/bar was surprisingly delicious and incredibly cheap. The staff was super friendly and helpful even though we could barely speak to each other. The location of the hotel was great. I wasn't expecting it to be in such a cool area- but it's in "pueblo" and I may have liked it as much as the beach area. So many cool restaurants and bars and shops. This part of town is significantly more affordable than the beach area, especially for shopping. However, coming from expensive Boston, the entire town was ridiculously inexpensive. The hotel is located RIGHT on the bike path which is 100% flat and takes about 15 minutes to ride to the beginning of the beach road. Once you're on the beach road you can ride for miles and find all types of restaurants and bars and shops once again. We panicked the first day because we couldn't find a "public" beach, but alas, you can use most of the beautiful little boutique hotels beaches and facilities FOR FREE as long as you buy some food or drink (so cheap too). And they all have wait service on the beach. So perfect. Last, you can rent bikes from Pacha for $5usd/day, or any of the other close by bike shops for under $10/day. Cabs are readily available and also cost around $10 with tip down to even far away parts of the beach road. Oh yeah, and we fell in love with Pachalina the hotel kitty. We even let her sleep in our room a couple nights :). I miss her! Only downside- because it's in the busier part of town, and the roof of the room I stayed in was thatched, it can be a little loud with the trucks going by. That being said, I'm from Boston so I'm used to traffic noise.
