John O Groats is a world famous destination. Our holiday home is situated on the seafront with views overlooking the busy Pentland Firth. You will see lots of different vessels sailing past and an array of wildlife. If you’re lucky you might even see a pod of porpoises or orcas! If you walk along the path to the beautiful Sannick Bay you may well find seals basking and around the magnificent cliffs and Stacks of Duncansby you may catch sight of the puffins from late April to August.
Just a 2 minute walk away is the iconic signpost, gift shops, John O Groats Brewery and Stacks Bistro. Just a 10 min walk up the road is our local hotel which serves food and alcohol all year round and the John O Groats Post Office and filling Station which stocks an array of delights!
A 10 minute drive can take you to Gills Bay where the car ferry “Pentalina” does daily return trips to Orkney.
