I can say with full confidence that Sarah is the best. You will enjoy her company and staying at her place much than 99% of other NYC listings here, where you would be just another guest, maybe even contacted only by phone. Because New York is not just the city, it is also the people who live there, and Sarah, as a long time newyorker, should be your first choice for your host, period. Clinton Hill is one of the most friendly and beautiful neighbourhoods in NYC. Back in the 19th century, when the Brooklyn Bridge was being built, wealthy Brooklynites who lived in Brooklyn Heights relocated to this place to avoid 'new folks' who they thought would flow in large numbers from Manhattan. So you have tree lined streets with old historic brownstones on boths sides that they built and in which they lived. Of course over the decades the demographics has changed, but if you know Brooklyn as a whole, you will not get find many better hoods like this one. Subway stop (C) and CitiBike station are just around the corner (Fulton/Washington Av), ideal for commuting to whatever place you want. There is a 24/7 grocery shop on the block on your way to subway, market on a neighbouring block, and 24h laundry place few blocks further. The apt itself is clean, cosy, and beautiful, decorated with taste. You will get a lot of privacy, if you want, but can hang out in the living room if you prefer that. Water pressure is great (think of the Shower Head episode of Seinfeld). I slept comfortably, and despite that the room is on the smaller side I could even unpack my 50lb suitcase for entire 29-day stay. Of course, you get your own keys. So, folks don't get lured by other listings on this site, because this is all you will ever want. Just please don't book it when I will be coming back to NYC, this place is mine!

Sarah is the best host ever. She made my experience in New York great. Her apartment is amazing full of books, plants, details and full of life! Her kitchen has everything you need to cook! The bedroom is not too big but is really comfortable! The bathroom is near the bedroom and the shower is great! She has a tv with Netflix, I watched many movies and tvshows! The neighborhood is amazing: quite but friendly. There is everything you need: supermarkets, bars, nails saloon, restaurants, a big laundry, shops and many more! The train is far just one block, less than 5minutes walking! In 18minutes you are in Soho, Manhattan! The bus station is also near one block! There are many parks around, and prospect park is just 20' far! I could never find a better place to live! I love Brooklyn, I love Sarah's apartment, I love my sister from another mother! I will miss you! Best place ever ️

I stay with Sarah for a little over a month while I was interning in the city. It was a perfect for me because I was working all day and just looking for somewhere to sleep really! Sarah was a great host, and I highly recommend staying with her.
