Neighbourhood highlights

Of the beaches of Guarujá, Praia do Tombo is the only one that proudly has the “Blue Flag” certification, that is, it has excellent water quality in addition to being a beach where safety, accessibility and environmental management issues are exemplarily applied.

In addition to the lifeguard station, security cameras are installed from end to end.

Along its shore, several kiosks serve delicious portions and cold drinks.

We also found many kiosks scattered along the beach.

In the neighborhood, there are several options of restaurants, snack bars, ice cream parlors, cafes and markets.

Come and enjoy your weekend and holiday in this delicious house.

Tombo Beach: discover this beautiful Guarujá attraction

Tombo Beach in Guarujá is one of the most beautiful beaches in the city.
A small beach with clear water (approximately 900 meters long), it is very popular with surfers, young people and those looking for a little more tranquility and a beautiful landscape.

Points of Interest

ANDRADAS FORT

Guarujá has a very rich historical past and near Praia do Tombo you have easy access to a small part of its past.
The Andradas Fort, inaugurated in 1942, was prepared to withstand intense aerial attacks.
It is totally embedded in the rock and built approximately 300 meters above sea level.
It consists of a complex system of concrete tunnels, chambers and elevators that allow the movement of soldiers and ammunition.
Considered the last fort built in Brazil, today it is an exuberant tourist attraction, maintained by the 1st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Brigade.
The fort is located after Tombo Beach, on Morro do Monduba, and its access is monitored and scheduled in advance.
To schedule the tour, fill out the form on the website.
The attraction is on Horário Barreiro Street, no number, in Tombo.

CAIXA D'ÁGUA OBSERVATORY

A glass floor in a suspended structure 45 meters above sea level is coming soon. The project is part of the new Mirante das Galhetas, in Morro da Caixa D'Água, between the beaches of Astúrias and Tombo.
A portion of the area has been reserved for parking, offering spaces for people with disabilities and the elderly.
The Caixa D'água Viewpoint has an excellent view of the Astúrias and Tombo Beaches. Access through Rua Alexandre Migues Rodrigues, behind the fish market in the Astúrias neighborhood. There is a deactivated public water reservoir in place. A good place for hang gliding.
There you can take a tandem flight of Panoramic Paragliding Over the Beaches of Guarujá

FISH MARKET

Near the end of Astúrias beach, towards the Caixa D'Água Hill overlook, is the best-known fish market in the region.

The establishment is quite simple and humble, the prices are normal for the area and because they are quite fresh (prices increase considerably during the high season) why not give it a try?

But it's a nice option if you're in the area and are in the mood to cook something fresher.

Following the street uphill, you'll end up at Mirante da Caixa D'Água, which offers a spectacular view, especially of Tombo Beach.
The place has parking and is usually quite quiet, but during high season it can get quite crowded.

The Fish Market is on Rua das Galhetas, - Praia das Astúrias

ASTÚRIAS CRAFT FAIR

The Asturias Craft Fair may not be as popular or large as the Pitangueiras Craft Fair, but it is equally beautiful and interesting. Many local entrepreneurs exhibit their products, their creations. There are sarongs, paintings, decorative objects, jewelry, all with a touch of the sea.

The fair is right on the seafront, close to the artisanal fishing point.
It's usually easy to park, but in high season it can get tough!
The fair is open every day from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Address: Av. Gen. Rondon

GUIAÚBA BEACH

This beach of exuberant natural beauty is a little further from the center, south of Tombo Beach
Guaiúba Beach is surrounded by nature and has rocky coasts, and unlike its neighbor Tombo Beach, it has a sea of calm waters.
The calm sea combined with the wide strip of sand makes Guaiuba a beach very popular with families, as young children can play in the sea and sand with greater safety.
Great for stand up paddle, kayak and diving.
Despite being a less busy beach than other nearby beaches, Guaiúba usually fills up during high season and holidays.
So if you want to see it less crowded, we recommend avoiding busy periods.
Excellent for watching the sunset, it is worth a visit in the late afternoon.
