The space
With a lot of green space surrounding this home, a large, well-maintained former airstrip is directly adjacent, giving the kids room to run. A swing and hammock are waiting for you or you can relax with your coffee on the large, wrap-around porch, listening to the fountains and watching the frequent wildlife visits. You can sneak down the back stairs with your coffee in the morning to a new patio with frog fountain, large umbrella and landscaping designed for privacy.
A huge screened-in porch downstairs with a new propane gas grill allows you to host larger day-time family get-togethers. There is a large fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs so you all can watch the beautiful sunsets and welcome the fireflies. An optional RV space is available to rent for additional overnight guests for a moderate nightly fee. The home itself can technically sleep 8 people, but might make it a bit cozy.
With fast and dependable Wi-Fi throughout the space, a large desk outfitted with a light for your remote meetings, USB ports, printer and office supplies, you have everything you need to work from your home away from home. Cast off your fake office backdrop for this beautiful background,. A second, smaller desk is located in the second bedroom with its own office supplies. USB ports are located also in the master and the reading/coffee/bonus room.
Both bedrooms have light-blocking curtains. Forgot to lower the blind on the high window last night? Roll over and push the remote control button on the wall and go back to sleep.

Where you’ll be

Burnet, Texas, United States

This area is what you definitely would classify as “country living”. To get here, you travel down a beautiful, curvy country road with cattle guards and the occasional black cow or turtle in the street that you might need to maneuver around. Once here, during the week it is very quiet because most people are weekenders. Come Thursday, you start to see a little more activity, but it always stays very peaceful, nothing like a resort, although you will see grandparents and grand-kids driving by on golf carts.

You have complete privacy in this home including from the porch due to the large pecan trees.

You have use of our kayaks and tubes, but also, canoes, kayaks, and paddle boats are available for rent at Inks Lake State Park, minutes away. Legends Golf Course is 15 miles away in nearby Kingsland.

You can get anywhere on Lake LBJ from our neighborhood boat launch. There are fun places to motor up to that serve food, supplies, and have bands on weekends. One will even deliver groceries to your docked boat!

The antiquing in this area is truly amazing. Very reasonable prices at most Burnet shops. My antique dealer friend and I have not even explored Kingsland yet because there are such great finds in Burnet, it takes a couple of days to finish and we run out of time. Start with the Knot Hole!
