Get away from it all and absorb the calm of the desert. Experience the joys of being off the grid in this solar powered newly renovated sunny home with shaded front and back porches. From the relaxing rocking chairs on the front porch,you can almost touch the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park or the Milky Way. A gorgeous one-hour drive will get you to the park and also keep you from the hubbub of Terlingua. Plus you can enjoy a sunrise hike right out your door and up a mountain.

The space
This home is located on Terlingua Ranch, 60 miles south of Alpine, with a swimming pool and restaurant within 5 miles. Lots of hiking in Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park, and even just around the house exploring. Great place to write, play music, do puzzles, read and relax.

Other things to note
The Road: As you see in some of the reviews, our dirt road is sometimes described as rough and sometimes described as "an adventure in itself."
4 WD vehicle is not essential but can enhance your visit to BBNP as well as make your ride on our dirt road a bit easier. But we go up and down our dirt road easily in our 2 WD vehicles with high clearance.
