This little house in the woods is open and eco-friendly with great views of the mountains, a zen garden, and five wooded acres to explore. It is gated and private. Great for a retreat from the city to the quietness of nature or for a place to stay while exploring the Chama's Cumbres and Toltec Train, Pagosa Springs, the Continental Divide, hiking, fishing, or just hanging out.
This spade is a unique open floor plan with windows to view nature while being indoors. It also has a fire pit, rocking chairs to take in the vistas, and a secluded garden swing. As well, it has an studio, if you want to tap into your artistic nature or it can be another sleeping space. It is sustainable with a water catchment system, passive solar heating in the winter, cool New Mexican plastered walls for the summer, an energy efficient fireplace, an open Zen pebbled shower, and TV.
While staying at Dos Pinos, guest may hike the acreage, view the wildlife, prepare dinner, watch TV, or utilize the open artist's studio for art, computer, or even work.
Interaction with guests
There will be person on premises in the garage bunkhouse to greet you and answer any questions you may have.
Other things to note
Since the sustainability of the house is a water catchment system, we ask that conserving water is a priority, especially during drought conditions. As well, during drought, there may be a no open fire policy--which affects using the fire pit.
There will be a $20 pet fee.
