About this listing
Made of wood and stone, with solar shower and composting toilet, this is a cozy rural getaway, an invigorating walk from town 8mn and from the lakeside 15mn. A place to turn off the gizmos and get back in touch with the basics. Welcome!
The view you see in the picture is from the porch. In terms of its uniqueness, I suppose it depends what you are used to. If you are used to cliffside rural living in an open plan wooden house with no wifi, on the quieter edge of an indigenous town in the guatemalan western highlands, this place is no great shakes. The cabin sleeps a couple and two singles comfortably.
House, kitchen with gas stove and fridge, garden, pila, solar shower and composting toilet.
Interaction with guests
Depends what your needs are. We can help with general traveling advice, and we will be available in case you need something but won't get in your way.
Other things to note
Heavy luggage is not recommended. Comfortable shoes are.
Pets are welcome so long as they dont massacre the garden. Children are welcome but small ones need to be briefed very well on the precautions required for accident-free cliffside dwelling, at least until the raspberry bushes grow a little bushier. Smoking please just outside. We try to minimise non biodegradable solid waste where possible. We are focussed with open flames (candles, stove) as this is a mostly wooden house. If you break anything, please repair or replace it.
Cancel up to 7 days before your trip and get a 50% refund. Cancel within 7 days of your trip and the reservation is non-refundable.
