This tiny home is situated near the hosts house. Enjoying the peace and quiet and wonderful views of the countryside yet only 1.5 miles from the beautiful seaside town of Criccieth. It is detached with its own parking space and a fully enclosed private garden with views of the snowdonia mountains. The country lane nearby is both a public footpath and cycle path. There are some truly beautiful walks right on the doorstep. A short walk to the Dwyfor river takes you past an old welsh burial chamber known as a ‘cromlech’. Take a longer walk or short drive to explore ‘Cwm Pennant’. And the Snowdonia mountains are always there for those who want more of a challenge.
The name ‘Bonnet Hutt’ is a combination of the host’s grandparent’s surnames. Leslie Bonnet and Joan Hutt moved to this very part of north Wales in 1949. They purchased an old Manor House and land just up the lane from the accommodation. Leslie Bonnet was a writer and a duck breeder. He created a new duck breed called the ‘welsh harlequin’ which is the only true welsh breed of duck. A few years ago the host bought back her grandparents land at auction and her husband built a cabin in the woods where she developed a love for small spaces. As a tribute to her grandparents. ‘My Bonnet Hutt’ was born.
