Judith is so smiley, happy, friendly, communicative and accommodating. Breakfast was great and the room comfortable. Even gave me a lift back to the train station. You don't get this service in just any Bnb!!

Judith and Gary's house was better than the pictures have shown on Airbnb. I felt comfortable staying in it and Judith is a great host with hospitality. She provided us with abundant spots to visit in Seattle, and talking with her was always pleasant and lovely. On the other hand…

Response from Judith:
Thank you for your kind words Yi-Wen, I enjoyed chatting with you and communicating through you with your mother. I learned from Airbnb that you reported “... some issues with the check-in process: entering the home.” For your information and for future reference: We like welcoming guests personally, and we appreciate guests letting us know when we may expect them. That way we're not kept hostage in our own home, waiting for a guest all afternoon and evening. Check-in time is from 3-10 p.m. By 8 p.m. you finally responded and let us know you could be there "around 10 or 11", and while we favored 10, you still showed up closer to 11 p.m. We were visiting with another guest, and readily helped your mother with her luggage. Thus we don't think you had a problem "checkin in: entering the home", you had a problem with our check-in time and rules. A motel, a hotel with concierge, or an Airbnb with key lockbox may be a better option in the future. We hope the air clears from the wildfire smoke, and that you get to enjoy some of Seattle's famous blue skies on this trip!

Judith and Gary were wonderful hosts. We were not conventional tourists, and Judith was very accommodating with our ever-changing schedule. The room was a nice size with a comfortable bed. We would not hesitate to recommend Judith's home or rebook again ourselves, in the futur…

Judith and Gary were welcoming hosts and had numerous suggestions for our road trip. Clean house and bedroom. Close proximity to airport and downtown (15-20minutes). They offered an assortment of breakfast foods, along with coffee/tea. Friendly company. The only thing that could …

Response from Judith:
Thanks for your kind words. Remark about lock noted. As for the walkability, many of our guests get around on foot and by taking public transportation. I myself walk all over our neighborhood for exercise, and love nearby Kubota Garden, but don't enjoy passing loiterers in front of the MedDis, and that's easy to avoid by taking the next street over. We probably err on the side of caution when informing guests about safety in our area, downtown, and greater Seattle. A green city such as ours may suggest country ways, but this is a metropolis, and visitors should be warned not to let down their guard, whether enjoying the tourist sights or running errands in a neighborhood, whether staying at the Fairmont Olympic downtown or in an Airbnb farther from the center.

We slept well.. Judith was very helpful with ideas! We enjoyed walking down to breakfast near the water a few minutes away since we didnt have a car. I believe This bnb was between Seattle proper and the Airport so worked well for us.

My friends call me DutchessAbroad. My Texan husband and I make our home with pooch Mocha on the lush SE side of Seattle, close to Lake Washington, between Seward Park and Kubota Garden. We're only 15 minutes from SeaTac airport, and depending on time of day, 15-30 minutes from do…
