Great location
90% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Ideally situated well off the road in the middle of a working farm yet close to town for shopping and dining. It is a great retreat for a writer, a painter or a musician space with enough space to create. Private key code for access. Near marinas, parks, and charming Eastern Shore villages. Killer sunset views. Pet friendly. Out the door for wonderful and challenging country road bike rides with little to no traffic. A large fire pit and a private sitting room/gathering space.

The space
This part of the house was built in the early 1880's as an addition to the original pre-1600 home. Private entrance with dedicated parking for your vehicle and room for a boat or trailer. Public landing on Worton Creek is about 3 miles away.

Where you’ll be

Worton, Maryland, United States

I am on a farm, surrounded by farms. There is a dairy across the road, but mostly these farms are planted with corn, soybeans, or wheat during the season. In fall and winter, the pond is a refuge for Canada geese and a variety of ducks. Some of these birds remain here year round, but most are migratory, arriving sometime in September and largely gone by April.

As a writer, an artist, and a musician I am inspired by the vistas and serenity of this marvelous house. It pleases me to see people enjoy these spaces that I have called home for over 30 years and to see them relax and unwind into the seasonal rhythms of the farm all around us. It is my nature to be helpful and to try to provide the very best experience for guests within the local community.

During your stay

I live in the "other half" of the house, so I will be available if needed, but if you come here to unwind and have a little peace and quiet, it is totally available to you. The two parts of the house are entirely separate.
