Our guest house is three rooms, with a small bathroom and laundry area. It is almost 700 square feet total. Each of three rooms are about the same size. The kitchen is full and cheerful, with skylights. The guests have covered parking.

The space

Our space is an original dwelling in this valley of Pojoaque, (Indian word for "twin rivers.") There are three rooms with full kitchen, and art. Sleeps three people, no smoking. 670 sq. feet.

Guest access

Private entrance, washer and dryer. Access to long walks never crossing a road! Gated entrance. Internet is shared with our house. DISH TV, books about the area, including the Atomic City, Los Alamos.

Interaction with guests

Flexible. We provide the coffee for grinding and perhaps the latest baked good from Rebecca's kitchen. We will be present, (but busy!)

Other things to note

Occasionally, we will have a horse on the property, a working horse that is used for a local cattle round-up. If you are an expert rider, we can manage a ride for you.

There's nothing like experiencing New Mexico for the first time by staying in an authentic adobe house! We were north of Santa Fe in the country but centrally located to experience Chimayo, Taos, Ghost Ranch, the Turquoise Trail, plus all that Santa Fe has to offer. James, our host, was wonderful, offering us tips on where to go and the history of the area. We had a great time.

Lovely adobe home with loads of charm in a great location with easy access to Los Alamos, Santa Fe and Bandelier N. P. Definitely will stay again next time we come thru this way.

James was very hospitable and friendly. He made us feel at home right away. We loved the casita, it was very cozy and clean. The location was prefect for us since it had easy access to all the roads for a lot of the places we visited during our stay. I totally recommend.

This really authentic adobe in a lovely rural setting only about 20 minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza is a wonderful sanctuary. We were so happy staying there and James and Rebecca are warm, welcoming and laid back hosts - oh, yes - really smart and funny, too. We are a couple and fit so well here and could imagine another adult or child in this space. We brought provisions from the stores in Santa Fe and settled in for our five days, each day making the easy trek back to Santa Fe or out towards Espanola. We would be very glad to stay with this delightful family again - so accommodating! We hope that we continue to create ties with them!

James was so kind and welcoming, we felt right at home immediately. His home is north of Santa Fe , on the way to Los Alamos and the scenery is beautiful. We needed a place to stay while our new home was being finished and James' was perfect for our needs. The adobe is sparkling clean and in good repair. My favorite room is the kitchen with the skylight and daybed for napping. Their dogs were friendly and added to the homey atmosphere. This is an affordable and authentic place to stay in the Santa Fe area.

Jamie and Rebecca were wonderful hosts, friendly and helpful as well as respectful of our privacy. The casita met all of our expectations and more. There was plenty of room for reading and relaxing, the kitchen had everything we needed and the outside space was delightful (we became good friends with the dogs and cat). The adobe house experience was a good one. The location felt rural but was an easy trip to Santa Fe and other local attractions. Overall, a great place to stay.

Physicist, happily married with 1 child. We eat organic, typical vegetarian. Our family loves New Mexico and want to share our little corner of the world with the world.

We love to bake, not everyday, but would like to share this with guests, if the opportunity arose. We ski, bike and take long walks.
