Immerse yourself with peace and quiet of a woodland overlooking beautiful fields with local wildlife as your neighbours.

The space
The Ark is located in a secluded woodland deep within the Purbeck Valley between Corfe Castle & Swanage. This private woodland is located at the bottom of our house plot and the area is dedicated to couple rentals.
The ark itself is situated off the ground and within the trees and is Scandinavian inspired, hand built to a very high standard and it features a beautiful decking perfect for an evening glass of wine in front of the chimenea
Inside the ark is a well equipped kitchenette, dining table & double bed for ultimate comfort. The kitchenette includes a double ring electric hob with saucepan & frying pan, mini fridge, kettle, cafetiere and toaster, perfect for basic cooking. Even better, a bbq is provided, just bring coals to cook outside enjoying the views.
Outdoor seating, a firepit & first basket of logs provided for those cosy nights in for a truly unique experience.
A private bathroom is situated in a separate shepherd's hut 10metres away and will be yours throughout your stay with private keys. The bathroom is very modern and features a power shower & is heated throughout the colder months.
Well behaved dogs are welcome, just bring their beds, towels & bowls. Please note we do have our own animals on site so depending on their temperament they might need to stay on a lead in the outdoor space.

Please note there are other accommodations on site but are not in use.

The accommodations are cleaned thoroughly between each stay but being based in a woodland if windows & doors are left open, please don't be surprised if the occasional insect appears.

Being based in the Purbeck Valley with one main road in & out of the Purbecks, occasionally emergency vehicles & loud motorcycles can be heard.

We do live on site & our bungalow is situated at the top end of the land (by the road) with the accommodations at the far end of the land (near the woodland). Any problems, we're on hand to help, text call or knock on the door.

Please note all nearby land owners are entitled to utilise the 28 day camping rule in nearby fields. Although none can be seen from your accommodation, camping in nearby fields can be expected in peak months.

Neighbourhood highlights

This rental is central to some incredible walking routes. From the woodland at the back you can cross a private gate and join to a public footpath leading you directly to the corfe hills. This walk will take you either to Old Harry Rocks or Corfe Castle or even Studland beach if you fancy an adventure.

Hi, I'm Nathan, a stonemason & local Purbeckian from Swanage currently living in Poole with my wife Steph . I've grown up loving the outdoors and I'm a lover of extreme sports. My family still live in the Purbecks and we're creating all these amazing retreats on our private land spread across the Purbeck where we grew up.
