We did enjoy the place very much. Good for a trip a couple nights. It's like camping on a boat. The area at the harbour, old part of Rochelle and cities and beaches in the neighbourhoud!

Where do I begin? Yes, we can now say we stayed 2 nights on a boat. (Please note that he emailed us 2 pages of instruction in French and G.oogle translate isn't too accurate.) We never got a code to get past the locked gate and people didn't want to let us pass. We were given entrance by a teenager who also gave us the numeric code (great security, right?) There are keys- ON THE BOAT. There's also a key fob which opens nothing. There wasn't any WiFi. Ugh, great start. At dinner we sent a polite email which is as follows, (unchanged): ""Hello, we've just arrived and have a few questions. 1) the plastic square fob with the key doesn't do anything-it doesn't open the gate at the top of the ramp to get to the boat, it doesn't open the gate so we can park. Any suggestions? 2) the only WiFi we can find is the free one and I can't connect to it. Can you help me because that is very important so we can connect with family. I'm having a quick dinner so I really hope you can email me back soon. I appreciate you giving me your number, but again we don't have an international plan to make phone calls. Thanks in advance for your help and reply!"" THIS IS HIS REPLY: ""Hello Olivia, I dont understand the main problem' ... If you have the key to get into the boat u dont need any plastic square fob... just use the digicode. You Can park your car around the parking for free... about the wifi it work and it suppose to be free... i dont know why u ça y fine it.. i never get trouble before... i call the sécurité to get a new code : Votre Accès Wifi Gratuit du 17/06/2017 au 01/01/2018 Merci de noter :XXXXXX Identifiant (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Mot de passe (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) If you need any information call me pr SMS at +(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Enjoy your stay Camille"" These are our issues: --Again, No Digicode was given. How did he think we were to get past the locked gate? --WiFi still never worked. --We asked about parking because this place was listed as having secure parking and that was what we wanted to receive. Also it was blazing hot and the less we had to walk- the better. --It was blazing hot (not his fault) but you have to sleep with everything open which means young people come in and let the metal gate slam shut until very late; older people wake up and start going in/out very early, letting it slam. Basically, it's always slamming. --When you wake up, you realize that people walking down the ramp can look into the boat and see you laying there (that's always a fun idea- thinking people can see you sleep, right), --There's the lovely smell of fuel inside the cabin --Loads of thick spiderwebs at the front and back of...

As described. Boat very easy to find, clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the privacy and the nice atmosphere around the place. Cooking utensils very basic but ok. Shower & toilets spotless. If you swim at the beach Minimes, you don't have to use public toilets, you use the ones for the boat owners, much cleaner. Shop, bakery and restaurants nearby, public transport in walkable distance (Bus de mer 5 min walk, Bus station 8 min, walk along the quays 45 min) to town centre. Enjoyed my stay. Thanks to Camille and Jean Marie
