There is FREE PARKING for 2 vehicles, or 1 vehicle and a trailer at each cottage.

Our 4-season cottages are all HEATED and quite cozy for cooler times of the year, with brand new ductless heat pumps that also provide AIR CONDITIONING for those hotter days of summer.

The lawn in front of the cottages is approximately 2 acres, so bring along your outdoor games! The little ones will enjoy the swing set and climber.

Gordon Lake is beautiful! The bottom is soft and sandy, but you might like to wear water shoes when walking out for a swim. Guests with young children have been very happy with the warm, shallow water by our dock, perfect for splashing and playing. Gordon Lake is also a locally renowned fishing spot, so bring along your rod & fishing license! There is a live bait shop just down the road.

BOAT RENTALS:
We currently have 2 canoes, 4 single kayaks, 2 double kayaks, and a pedal boat to rent as available. We will be putting the boats away and removing the dock for the winter by the end of October.
Rental rates per boat (life jackets are included* and rates are subject to change):
$10 - 1 hour
$15 - 2 hours
$25 - 4 hours
$40 - full day
*we have plenty of adult life jackets, but none for people under 90 pounds*

BRINGING YOUR OWN BOAT:
You can launch (nominal fee of $5 cash charged by the landowner) just a stone's throw down the road and tie up to our dock for the duration of your stay. PLEASE NOTE: the water level fluctuates and can be very shallow at our dock...please check with us about boat size if you are planning to bring one. Worst case, you may have to put your boat back on the trailer each day.

Guest access
Guests will have full access to the massive front yard (approximately 2 acres situated between the cabin fronts and the lake), the dock, the fish hut and the wooded area to the north of the cabins. These areas are shared, and we ask that guests are respectful of others while using these areas.

Other things to note
We have just recently purchased this property and are making changes and adding things all the time. Check back for updates!

Also, we are thrilled to be hearing from guests of the wonderful previous owners of the former Three Oak Tourist Resort. Some of the things they are saying:

"we had come up for years, and were sad to see them shut down"

"we have so missed our annual stay on Gordon Lake the past few years and would love to get back to our annual stay"

"we previously stayed in these cottages for many years....I was so excited to see this cottage listed because we haven't found anywhere like this place..."

Sounds like we have some pretty big shoes to fill, and that is exactly what we are endeavoring to do! So far so good!

My work: Full-time SuperHost
Lives in Bruce Mines, Canada
Hello, happy travelers! In the summer of 2020, my husband, Rob, who is forever scouring real estate listings, came across this 12.5 acre, 8 cottage resort property on Gordon Lake in northern Ontario. The next day we hopped in the car, drove up from Collingwood, ON, fell in love with this little piece of paradise, put in an offer, then raced home to sell our house and pack. After a pretty tricky move in November 2020, we promptly embarked on stage 1 of the renovation and restoration project that is getting so close to finished! With a touch of stage fright, we welcomed our first guests on June 25, 2021 and started the blur of a summer that saw us finish renovating 4 of the cottages, while earning superhost status in our first quarter…an achievement we have repeated every quarter since, with nearly all 5-star reviews! 5 of the 8 cottages are now, in November 2022, complete, and we plan to have 2 more completed by spring/summer 2023. The final cottage will be used for laundry and storage for the foreseeable future. In addition to renovating the cottages, we have installed 115’ of new dock, stocked up on canoes, kayaks and a pedal boat, pruned so many trees, spent countless hours cutting grass and doing laundry, and shared a fair number of bonfires with some of our amazing guests. In jest, we have referred to this move as our “retirement” but I’m certain we have never worked so hard in our lives. I’m also certain we have never been happier! As our guest, you can expect an impeccably clean space with fresh towels & linens, all the basic necessities for cooking, cleaning & comfort, and an environment where you will immediately feel at home, like part of the family. We live on the property and are always just a holler (or text/phone call) away…if you need anything at all, just ask! We have poured our blood, sweat and tears into this place and our #1 goal is an incredible and memorable experience for each and every one you. We hope your travels bring you to us!
