The space
Escape to a unique 6m Geodesic Dome on the edge of the stunning Lake District, just 8 minutes drive from Windermere. Nestled in a secluded, spacious garden, this cozy retreat offers a private outdoor area that opens onto tranquil fields.

Recently renovated, the dome features a full refit with modern touches like underfloor heating for added comfort. Enjoy a relaxing stay with an electric fire, a comfy double bed with a luxurious mattress, and a selection of amenities including a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, microwave, and a small fridge.

We are 5 minutes walk from The Dales Way walking route, perfect for the final night stop before completing the route to Bowness.

The dome also includes a private toilet and sink for your convenience.

For an extra touch of relaxation, take advantage of two complimentary gym & pool passes (on request and subject to availability).

Please note, there is no shower in the dome, however showers are available at the included gym/spa pass (details on request).

For a peaceful, adult-only experience, pets and children are not allowed.

Perfect for a peaceful romantic getaway in the heart of nature, with all the comforts you need for a relaxing escape!

By train Staveley station is 20 minutes walk (we may be able to collect you) and a regular bus stop to/from Kendal and the Lakes is 50 metres away.

We are not a campsite and the dome is located down in our garden. It is as private as we can get it for you with the window facing and unoccupied field and outside area that is private on that side too.

We don’t charge a cleaning fee — most guests prefer to tidy before leaving. If you’d rather relax, we can take care of it for £15.

Other things to note
Hot and cold mains water in the sink within the dome. Toilet located within the dome itself. There are no shower facilities.

Potential for noise from the main road, mainly during rush hours.

We do have a pod in the garden that’s also AirBnB accommodation, but it’s on the other side of the garden about 15 metres away hidden in the trees, and we’ve never had any issues with guests disturbing each other.

Neighbourhood highlights

We are about half way between Kendal and Windermere. The main cycle lane into the Lake District is directly across the road, as is the Dales Way walking path.

The Dome is in a semi-rural setting with views to the surrounding countryside.

For clarity's sake, during busy rush hours there is some traffic noise from the road, but evenings and nights are typically quiet.

Please note that we are not the Windermere Camping Site, despite the AirBnB map showing it close by!
