Anyone can read my other comments and understand there is a mistake here. Unfortunately this was the worst 'bad faith' experience ever... Hopefully my house was clean when Luana checked in ; I don't know what is bad about the organization of the flat. the toilet seat was bought a month ago.
Here is the comment I wrote for Luana and her family.
Cleanliness and communication are not an option! My house is your house, but is not an hostel... I feel so sorry to have to write this comment for Luana and her family as I had read very good comments about them before accepting their request. But the night I came back home from a few days work out of Lisbon (Luana and her family had checked out earlier that day, and I only asked them to leave the keys inside, as I trust my hots) I discovered a very dirty house (floors, huge feet stains on the carpet, hair on shower walls, stained bedsheets...) and a few missing/broken things. I do not charge cleaning fees as my hosts are requested to do so themselves as if they were at their own home, and they can easily find the tools in the bathroom and corridor (hoover, broom, mop, bucket and cleaning products). Well, strangely enough, Luana insisted that she did not find the equipment to clean the house, but at this moment she never tried to contact me (mail or phone ; yet we talked the 1st day by email so she had a means to talk with me), nor my neighbour who checked them into my house 2 days earlier. I'm ok with travelers needing help to clean the house correctly, but I'm not ok with people who are not even trying to communicate so that things would go smoothly. Also, I found the toilet seat dismantled (?!), some tableware missing, the bins still in the kitchen (i had explained to them how to evacuate them in the street) and again, nothing was said to me about it during the whole stay. I myself would have loved to recommend Luana and her family, but I cannot do it, as nothing was done the right way. Also I would like to say that before writing this negative comment, I talked with Luana so she could explain to me what happened. She proved bad faith, as she argued that she could not contact me during her stay, yet if we had talked earlier by email ; also she had my neighbour contact, so there was no reason to give such false explanations.
