Ideal for first and last night stays . Its an James Bond style house with 6 bedrooms on the hill. . 20 minutes from the Int Airport We can provide transport, food and a laundry service . The room has double bed with a shared bathroom.

The space

This is a 70s James Bond style open-plan designed mountain-top house with impressive panoramic views over the whole Central Valley from east to west including downtown San Jose ,the National Stadium , the International Airport etc.You can see almost everything in the Central Valley and are perched high above the rest of San Jose on top of the world in a very quiet private and exclusive setting. This is one of the best views and even better at night, simply stunning.

Guest access

There are two living areas on different levels ,both with interesting bronze chimney stacks features with gas fired fireplaces. The kitchen in the heart of the house also enjoys the impressive views and is surrounded by landscaped gardens. This combination creates a great atmosphere, and a unique style which many have likened to a 70s James Bond style house, so it i is ideas an ideal place to recover from your flight and relax with plenty of space. We have a a music centre and speakers throughout the house, and can choose your own music.

We have an area which can be converted into a private cinema as we have a projector and giant screen 150" excellent for watching films or sporting events. Or this area can be used as a dancing area or even to put on a show.
There is a large terrace and balcony with a hottub, (when the booking is for one room we reserve the right to make an additional charge of $15 for the use of the Hottub) and exuberant gardens to enjoy during the day or in the evening, enjoy hanging out and eating and drinking outside, whilst watching the rest of the San Jose Central Valley down below. We also have the relaxing company of Luna , a beautiful affectionate Harlequin Great Dane who lives at the house and welcomes all new guests.

Jonathan was a great host and made us feel very welcome. Had some fascinating chats about various projects he's working on too. The house is uniquely styled, very open and spacious and has great views over San Jose with a beautiful garden full of exotic plants and flowers.

Jonathan was very prompt with his responses and communicated clearly about the challenges of finding the James Bond House so I made sure we had ample time to get there before dark. The neighbourhood was private and beautiful and still very close (5minute drive) to the local pulperia (where we were able to pick up items for dinner). We were greeted by his beautiful Great Dane, Luna upon arrival. He kindly gave my friend and I a choice between 2 rooms and we chose the honeymoon suite, which was very spacious with interesting decor, a walk-in closet and bathroom with double shower heads - nice perk. I can't say enough about the view from the house at night. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The "James Bond" House was a a great place to spend my last night Costa Rica. The view is stunning, the architecture and decor is classic mid century modern, in the style of a Malibu Mansion from the late 60's. Both Jonathan and the Great Dane Luna were welcoming . If you are looking for something truly unique, be sure to check out this little slice of heaven in the mountains outside San Jose.

Enjoyed our time in the James Bond house, although it was short since we got in late and left early. Jonathan was very welcoming and gave us very helpful directions to get there. He also was very kind to wake up quite early to let us out the locked driveway gate since we had an early flight. We appreciated being upgraded to the honeymoon suite for free since the people who were supposed to be staying there couldn't make it that night. Just a helpful note- if you're sensitive or allergic to cigarette smoke, you may struggle a little since smoking is allowed inside the house.

The right place in the right time.

I left England when was 18 and hitch-hiked through Europe,Africa to India overland which was a life forming experience,. I left with about $100 and returned 2 yrs later ..I had little money I stayed with local people ,or hostels or slept rough whatever I needed to do. Later as a professional investment consultant I have lived in Hotels throughout Latin America for nearly 20 years. I can tell you the best way to travel is not always in Hotels ...experience living and sharing with the local way of life ,with real people it is a far richer more rewarding experience. I believe in the concept of integrated tourism this is what we offer it is a much better way to travel ...
