Beautiful and walkable

Guests say this area is scenic and it’s easy to get around.
Welcome to the homely annex of our Victorian villa in Todmorden. Your self-contained suite has a lovely king size bed, kitchen and en suite shower room. There's a desk and optional child's bed too.

Our guests love the quiet but central location, fast WiFi and a very warm welcome!

We're less than a 10 minute walk to Todmorden centre or the open countryside. We'll happily recommend stunning walks from the front door.

Everyone welcome, we're LGBTQ+ & straight friendly

The space
Very comfy king size bed with 100% Egyptian cotton bedding. Extra pillows if you like it super soft, or if you just want to sit up in bed and watch the 43" TV with Netflix. Free WiFi throughout the space.

If you're travelling with a child, we can provide an extra single bed or cot in the bedroom for a small additional charge. We'll provide extra towels too.

The kitchenette contains 2 induction hobs, kettle, toaster, microwave and all the pots and utensils you will need. A fridge and small freezer should be big enough for you, this is in the entrance hall so there's no risk of a fridge hum keeping you awake at night.

If you like eggs for breakfast, you'll love the complimentary free range eggs, from our own flock of rescue hens who live in our garden.

Guest access
You have your own private access through an entrance porch (where you can leave your coats and boots, even a couple of mountain bikes) and into the suite. Walking through the kitchen and dining area you go up a couple of steps into the bedroom and from here you will find the shower and toilet room.

If you are arriving by car, we have private, off road parking at the end of a short private track. The parking area is shared by us, but there is plenty of room for you there.

Please note that your accommodation is an annex to a large family house and to get to your private entrance, you go through the edge of our family garden.

Other things to note
Check in is from 3pm, check out at 11am. If you want to extend these times, it can often be arranged by prior agreement.
We'll always try and meet you on your arrival, though if this isn't possible for any reason then we have a key safe and a remote check-in system

Neighbourhood highlights

Glenroyd is the perfect spot for exploring friendly Todmorden with its superb restaurants and pubs, independent shops and market. The town centre and train station are less than ten minutes walk away and there is some amazing countryside just as close.

Stunning walks on the doorstep including Bridestones, Gaddings Dam (the highest beach in England for adventurous outdoor swimmers!), and Stoodley Pike on the Pennine Way.

There are some amazing mountain bike routes here too, including the Havok Bike Park and the Lee and Cragg Quarries.

If you prefer a gentler pace of life how about an amble along the Rochdale Canal? Hebden Bridge is a lovely 5-mile walk along the tow path with several pretty locks, old bridges, historic mills and nice views of the River Calder which runs alongside part of the canal.

We have made your accommodation very 'outdoors-friendly' with plenty of space to dry wet boots and clothes or even your bike. There's an outdoor tap and hose to clean off the mud!

We can suggest good walks to suit all abilities and we're happy to lend you an OS map or walking poles if you leave yours at home.
