A beautiful loft with all the important amenities! Located in Chelsea, this apartment is in the heart of Manhattan and is close more than half of all the trains in the city (1, 2, 3, R, Q, F, M, A, C ).

The space

This converted warehouse loft is our enormous 5-bedroom/2-bath apartment that we've called home for 8 years. It's pretty much the greatest apartment in New York and we think you'll love it. The vibe is incredibly easy-going and fun-loving yet it's in an incredibly central location. If you're visiting and want to know what living in New York is really like, this is the place for you – except that you'll have a lot more room to stretch out than anywhere else you can stay.

The apartment boasts a HUGE living room, washer/dryer, full kitchen, dishwasher and piano! Despite being very large, the wood furnishings give a cozy, homey atmosphere.

Very close to the 1, C, E, F, M, N and R trains! It's a snap to get anywhere in the city.

Room includes a full sized bed, beautiful oak desk and two large windows that let in a ton of light. Room has AC for those hot city summer days and a heater for the cold nights. This room is very quiet not being street-facing. The guitars can be noodled on as long as you know how to handle them!

The other roommates are incredibly friendly and knowledgable about the neighborhood. We're near great bars and restaurants, the city's best comedy venue and Whole Foods is less than 3 blocks away.

Ben's a musician, improvisor, artist, currently developing a TV show, Aaron's a comedy writer/PhD candidate, and I'm a web developer at a tech company. Anything you're curious about or into, we'll help you discover it... and one of us is probably into it too.

Times Square, Empire State Building, Madison Square park are all close by!

Within walking distance:
The High Line (3 blocks)
The Flatiron building (2 blocks)
Madison Square Park (2 blocks)
Madison Square Garden (5 blocks)
Fashion Institute of Technology (1 block)
Meatpacking District/West Village (14 blocks)
Empire State Building (9 blocks)
Times Square (16 blocks)

The apartment has two bathrooms, a washer/dryer, full kitchen equipped with a stove, microwave, toaster, dishwashing machine. There is a very comfortable living room with couches, a flat screen TV, record player, and more exciting doodads!

I will be away during your stay here, but will be contactable by email. My roommates will also be around to answer any urgent questions you have!

Being in the heart of the garment district and a couple avenues away from the Chelsea Highline, Chelsea is a great place to stay if you love art, taking walks or fashion. The apartment is also conveniently located no more than 3 blocks away from a bunch of great grocery stores, including Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Fairways, so no need to worry about food while you're here.

Oliver was helpful even though he wasn't there, and Aaron was also very helpful, polite, and respectful. And the rest of the guys that live there are all young and they mine their business. The place is accessible to anything and everything. The place was a bit dusty and have a slight odor in the room, almost like an old clothes that wasn't wash for a while. Two bathrooms in the apartment, the one that's should be using by the guest is dusty and the other one was definitely dirty, but I guess that should've been expected because they're all guys that live there. And the cost was definitely low for being in Chelsea area. There's only air in the room, and none in the living room nor the bathrooms. Overall, for me, it was good, but for someone that's high maintenance, go to the hotel instead.

Response from Oliver:
Hi Tatiana, I'm sorry about the dust and the odor. I did attempt to get the room in a cleanly state before you arrived but I may have missed some spots in the room. Next time I will do a more thorough job of cleaning with regards to dust. I'm unsure about the odor, but feel as though it was likely something that developed between my leaving the apartment and you arriving given that I didn't smell anything when I left. Sorry again about this and thank you for your honest feedback.

Cool apartment, roommates were fun and easy to be around. I'd stay here again for sure. Communication with Oliver was very good, especially for a guy who wasn't even there. Location was pretty fantastic, the whole city is more or less at your fingertips, especially if you can navigate the subway. Highly recommended if you're traveling on a budget and hotels fill you with existential dread.

I didn't get to meet Oliver but he communicated very well with me even did a video of the place. His room mates were great, place was clean and tidy and fantastic location. Would stay there again.
