Munising is a gem found in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is nestled in the heart of the Hiawatha National Forest, is the gateway to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and also features Grand Island National Recreational Area. It has a small-town charm but bustles with many activities throughout the year. Munising also boasts over 15 waterfalls, 5 lighthouses and several beautiful recreation areas.

I'm a New York City native and I married a woman who grew up on a Michigan Farm. She took me on trips to the Upper Peninsula to share its wonders and I fell in love. The endless forests, trails, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, the majesty of the Great Lakes, the stone filled shores of Superior. I just could not believe this wilderness/adventureland was real.

Well, we fulfilled a dream of purchasing property in the UP with our brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Cassie, who live in Munising. We are excited to share the wonders of the north with visitors. We love using Airbnb ourselves to travel the world and hope we can provide the same experiences other hosts have provided to us.
