About this listing
Just one country walking mile from Woodstock's historic village green! Private bedroom (queen size bed) and bath. Separate entrance and access to beautiful woodland-surrounded swimming pool and private meadow.
Ours is a homey home. Your rental includes shared use of the cozy den (complete with rocking chair and "come lounge on me couch") right next to your bedroom: often read books on the bookshelves, family photos on the mantles, board games on the side table, and a bible by the bedside.
Free wifi is available throughout, and you're welcome to enjoy the flat screen cable TV in the den as well.
We invite you to hang out: hang out in the den, hang out by the pool, hang out in the meadow. We invite you to just hang out and enjoy our home. Peace.
Swimming pool; pool picnic area; backyard meadow.
Interaction with guests
We're here if you need us. Ours is a home of respected personal space.
If you want to see (and hear) our home's connection to Bob Dylan (one of Woodstock's famous former residents), search YouTube for "Bob Dylan's Phone Number" and you will find the New York News video made about my son (Seth Schiesel), our house, and Dylan's phone number. Enjoy!
No public transit, but we are only 1 easy walking mile from the Village Green.
Please, no smoking in the house, no food kept in the rooms.

I think I may be one of only three people in Woodstock who is not an artist. And after living here for over 35 years, I don't believe I've met the other two yet. But I revel in the contact high of my wonderful, feisty, never boring home town.
I am an organizational psychologist and author: work time is spent writing, teaching and consulting. Play time is spent walking rail trails, listening to old time radio, watching pre-code movies, trying to replicate dishes we try in restaurants, sitting and rocking on the porch, just staring out into the woods and sky. I do that last one a lot.
