Enjoy our cozy guest flat on the same 1-acre property as our 1917 home, but with its own entrance, parking, full kitchen and bath. Walking distance to downtown Durham, the Oyster River, and Great Bay, with many hiking trails a short drive away. Take a walk to the historic Mill Pond Dam or to Tideline Public House (food truck park). This efficient space is for 1-2 people, with one queen bed available.

The space
Designed for the discerning traveler, this space has an updated, high-end seacoast vibe, with highly efficient use of the small space. Eat-in kitchen, comfy small-scale sectional couch with pullout bed, small desk area, roomy bathroom, and one bedroom with a queen-size bed. Everything is sparkling new and professionally stocked and decorated. Single level, highly accessible with walk-in shower with seat. This space accommodates up to 2 people.

Guest access
Easy, flat parking on gravel driveway for up to two vehicles (please inquire before booking if you will have two vehicles). Please keep tires on gravel areas. Temporary cars more than two will need pre-approval. Driveway is shared with hosts. Please do not block garage doors or park in turnaround area.

We take bookings 6 months in advance. If you would like to reserve dates beyond 6 months, please make an inquiry and we can likely open your dates up for booking.

Neighbourhood highlights

Located in the Historic District of Durham on a main route to/from UNH, with 10 acres of open space next door. This is an active in-town setting, quiet on weekends and overnight, but active during the week with commuters (mostly from Sept-May 8am-7pm). Sidewalk access directly across the street. Easy 8-10 minute walk into town, 5 minute walk to the Three Chimneys Tavern, 15-20 minute walk to UNH, past a histo1ric monument and plaques describing the history of this special spot.

We have found that Durham, NH is a great jumping off spot for exploring the White Mountains, the Lakes region, as well as the whole NH/ME/MA seacoast area.
