Let me start off with the good things about this apartment:
- Great location if you want to be in Port Melbourne! Right down the street from the beach and right around the corner from the main street with tons of restaurants.
- This is the first time I have stayed in a furnished apartment that had EVERYTHING I needed without having to make a run out to the store right away (Paper towels, dish sponge, laundry detergent, plenty of toilet paper, garbage bags, saran wrap, etc etc). The only thing you are really responsible for is whatever food you want there to be in the apartment.
- Apartment itself was great: large living space; comfortable bed; big tv (which seems to be less common in most rental apartments here); HUGE balcony; great views; plenty of kitchenware and linens.
Now for the bad:
- I would have to recommend against staying here if you are a business traveler who works from home and needs unlimited, reliable internet.
***If this does not apply to you, and/or if you don't care about internet please just ignore this part***
My husband works from home and internet is extremely important for us. The internet that comes with the place did not work at all, so we were given a cellular hotspot which actually worked well, however it keep running out of data (we were not downloading, streaming, or otherwise doing anything that should cause this to happen so often). We ended up spending hundreds of our own dollars on additional internets. Espresso apartments did try to work with us... to an extent and depending on who we talked to on the phone that day - some employees were understanding and added more time to the cellular hotspot while others told us there was nothing they could do.
-This is not a luxury apartment / condo building (although the apartment itself is extremely nice). Although not Nicki / Espresso apartments fault I thought it was important to point out. There is no gym, pool, etc. Lobby was often dirty which spills: coffee, unknown spills, onetime there was even what appeared to be a trail of dog urine that was left uncleaned for days.
Overall we had a great time at this apartment! (Stayed for a month)
