Like many in the neighborhood, our home is a historic Victorian with records dating back to 1874. The home is a 1/2 mile walk from the downtown area with local restaurants, shops, and bars. The over 100 miles of bike paths and nature trails nearby is and added perk!

With over 2000 sq. ft. of living space plus a wrap around front porch and outdoor fire pit, our home is perfect for group gatherings. For our guests traveling with pets, you are welcome to use the fenced in side-yard.

The space
You'll be staying in a recently renovated home that features a tasteful blend of modern and early 20th century styles. The grand entryway of the home features an ornate wooden staircase. On the first floor you will find a cozy living room with a smart tv, an oversized dining room, a half bath, and a well-equipped kitchen.

The extensive second floor of the home includes four large bedrooms, one small bedroom, and two full bathrooms. Additionally, the second floor has an additional living room with a smart tv and a laundry room with a washer and dryer **picture coming soon**.

For remote-work travelers, we have three comfortable work spaces with fast internet (300mb up/down) and monitors available for your use.

The home has a large front porch with a front entrance to the home. The side yard is completely fenced in and features a propane firepit area. There is a back entrance off of the second floor living room.

The home uses gas heat and has four ductless minisplit AC units throughout.

We lived in and loved this home for a year and a half and we are confident you will too! We have done our best to make the home as comfortable as possible for our guests -- such as blackout window curtains in all the bedrooms, high-quality kitchen appliances and cooking utensils, and a brand new water softening and filtration system.

Located in a historic suburb with wide streets and old trees, the home sits across the street from an elementary school playground. Located a few blocks away from downtown and 5 minute drive to the University of Northern Iowa.

Plenty of off-street parking with no restrictions. We have two, paved parking spaces available for guest use.
