The space
Welcome to “Desert Sage” —a beautiful mid-century bungalow built in 1956 and tastefully remodeled. The perfect spot for up to five friends or family to enjoy a relaxing desert getaway. Featuring two queen bedrooms, a twin room with a daybed, and one full bathroom. A desk space in the twin bedroom offers guests a space to work comfortably from home.

Relax, surrounded by panoramic mountain views in the backyard, and enjoy the spacious hot tub, propane fire pit, hammocks, covered outdoor dining area, propane grill, and plentiful lounge furniture to take in the beautiful surroundings and incredible starry night skies. We are a pup friendly property and our backyard is fenced in for your four-legged friends.

Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen for making meals or brewing morning coffee. If you feel like relaxing indoors, you can pop an album on the record player, stream a movie on our smart TV, read one of the books in our little library, or play a classic board game.

Traveling with an infant? We have a pack-n-play crib with mattress and sheets available on site for no additional fee, as well as a pop-up highchair that can be placed on a chair for your little one at mealtimes.

Guest access
During your trip, you'll have exclusive access to the full house, yard, and amenities. The house is a private residence with no shared spaces and nobody else will be at the property during your stay.

The full kitchen has a retro style refrigerator, gas stove, and large microwave, and is equipped with dishes, cups, silverware, coffee maker, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.

Our TV in the living room is equipped with Netflix and Disney+ or ready to stream from all of your accounts.

Washer + Dryer
A washer and dryer are available for your use. Please provide your own liquid laundry detergent.

Pets
Desert Sage welcomes up to 2 well-behaved dogs. If you are hoping to bring more than 2 dogs (or an animal other than a dog) please message beforehand to inquire. There is a non-refundable $65 pet fee and we kindly request that you pick up after your pets.

Smoking
Smoking is not allowed inside the home. This applies to tobacco, marijuana, pipes, cigars, and anything that may leave an odor in the home. Vaping inside is permissible as long as there is no odor left behind. Smoking is permissible in the yard but cigarette butts must be appropriately extinguished and disposed of. If these rules are broken and the home smells of cigarettes or marijuana after check-out or cigarette butts are left strewn about the property an additional fee of $100 will be charged.

We're in a quiet neighborhood, located just minutes from Joshua Tree National Park and downtown 29 Palms restaurants and shops. Within close driving distance to a grocery store, gas station, pharmacy, liquor store, numerous restaurants, etc.

We’re in a residential part of town but the desert still has wildlife. You may spot lizards, snakes, beetles, hawks, owls, and a variety of insects. I’ve only run into a couple of snakes and one scorpion in 3+ years but I suggest appropriate footwear and if traveling with pets, please keep an eye on them when they’re outdoors - even within the fully fenced yard.
