Romantic and beautifully designed for two, hidden in mature woodland with oak, ash and larch, utterly private with its own wood-fired hot tub and not overlooked by any other property. A remote rural retreat on a small working farm less than 3 hours from London and 90 minutes from Birmingham. Great walking in the Brecon Beacons and lots of historic sites, excellent country pubs and local rural crafts, many offering ½ and 1 day courses. Friendly sheep, beautiful views - and dogs are very welcome.

The space
A beautiful genuine 20 ft “ger” or yurt, hand decorated with traditional Mongolian symbols and fully lined to cope with the harsh climate of the Steppes, transported to a peaceful corner of rural Herefordshire.
Huge amounts of space and with a super-comfortable king-sized double bed, leather sofa and chair and, for those seeking an authentic experience, a traditional Mongolian dining area on floor cushions. The yurt has a separate private hut a few feet away housing a well-equipped kitchen with dining table, ample hot water, gas cooker, fridge/ freezer and microwave. The other half of the hut is a large shower room with a loo, basin, full size power shower and heated rail to keep towels cosy. Outside is a sheltered dining area under a “sail” sunshade plus a separate area with firepit cantilevered out overlooking the fields with beautiful uninterrupted views.

Self employed small business owner and farmer with very diverse interests, easy-going and welcoming. Experienced property owner and rental host. Likes: people, socialising, interesting houses, unusual motor cars, travel and different cultures, art and dogs Dislikes: pretension, bling, people who walk though life with their eyes shut, insensitivity, cruielty. Motto "Tempore difficiles, verumtamen" I believe in looking at the guest and asking myself "If I was you, how would I want to be looked after?". Good service is simple and effective particularly if you smile. Anticipation of the other's needs is everything.
