The space

The house is my home -- I rent it while I'm traveling and my dogs are at camp-- so you'll be surrounded by my art and books. You have the use of my beautiful yard and garden -- feel free to pick the vegetables, blueberries, and apples. You can even ride my sweet yellow bike.

Getting around

The Neighborhood

Ladd's Addition has a 'Walk Score' of 92 - perfect for strolling around the rose gardens or using the nearby bike route to get around the city. Funky Hawthorne Blvd. is the northern border of Ladd's with culinary-rich Division St. to the south, gaining prominence for its growing and innovative restaurant scene and unique shops. Nearby Clinton St.'s bars and coffee shops as well as restaurants round out why this area lands you in the heart of what makes Portland unique - small, boutique restaurants, an independent movie theater and one-of-a-kind businesses for shopping. We are a block from a children's playground.

Getting around

The house is located right on a popular bike route with public transportation a short block away and if you're up for a 16 minute walk across the Hawthorne Bridge -- with a great view of the river -- you're in downtown Portland.

Other things to note

Cleaning fee of $85.

Kristin's place is well located to enjoy the best of Portland. Walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, shops and bars makes exploring the neighborhood a pleasure. The house is set up beautifully for guests. The rooms are all large and comfortable. Kristin has great taste.

Kristen was very welcoming and informative. We enjoyed our stay in this charming and cozy house very much and we were able to walk to shows both nights.

Best location in Portland for what we were there to do! Rest, explore, relax, walk the city, etc. Kristin was in great communication and super helpful, will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Portland!

Great location, beautiful neighborhood, lovely private yard, comfortable beds, well-stocked bookshelves (that sparked more than one trip to Powell's). House is clean and well-cared for. Kristin very conscientious about making sure we had her house manual before we arrived, and arranged an iron for us.

The house and location right across the street from a big big rose garden made us feel like we were living in Portland. All amenities made our stay easy. The beds and bedding were very comfortable, with plenty of pillows and towels. I appreciated that though this is Kristen's home, we had plenty of space for our stuff. She left a complete guests' information book, including all operating instructions and plenty of suggestions for groceries and restaurants as well as guidebooks--the best "welcome kit" from any airbnb host, and I have stayed at quite a few places. I loved having access to the washer and drier.

We had a great stay at Kristin's bungalow! The location was perfect- an easy walk to lots of restaurants and coffee shops, but on a cute quiet street facing onto a rose garden. The home was beautiful and stocked with everything we needed. We didn't meet Kristin but she was helpful and responsive through text. We would definitely stay here again if we go back to Portland!
