Welcome to "SURFIN’ SAFARI" self catering Guest House.

Please take care of the home like you would take care of your own. This way we will look forward to inviting you back again. We trust that you will enjoy your stay, for many years to come.

1) Absolutely no smoking.You will incur an additional charge for cleaning and deodorizing if any evidence of smoking is found in your Unit.

2) Be aware that there is opportunistic crime in Hermanus just like the rest of the world so please use common sense. When leaving the house at any time or if unoccupied, please lock the doors and set the alarm. This also applies on your departure day.

3) Arrival time is after 14H00. Please call the property manager an hour prior to arrival for keys and access.

4) Departure is before 12H00. Please call property manager one hour prior to departure to arrange for the keys to be dropped off. Late departures after 12H00 will be billed at the additional seasonal day rates.

5) Do not at any time sit on the furniture with wet bathing suits or dirty clothing.

6) Please wash all sand off your person and remove sandy shoes before entering the house. There are outside showers in both top and bottom units.

7) Do not leave the exterior doors or any windows open when the premises is unattended, as theft or loss of personal property will not be covered by the owner.

8) Please clean up kitchen and dining area after every meal.

9) Do not eat, except at the dining table[s] or kitchen areas. Please report any accidental stains to property manager.

10) If any breakage occurs, please replace with similar item. If items are not replaced before your departure, you will forfeit the complete deposit.

11) Check to make sure that all household inventory (towels, bedding, kitchen items, bedrooms, bathrooms, TV's, DVD players, DSTV etc) is correct and declare any discrepancies when you arrive. Recheck when you leave and report any discrepancies to property manager before departure. If discrepancies are not accounted for, you will forfeit your whole deposit.

12) No person shall place any refuse within or outside the premises except in the containers and/or the refuse areas provided. Refuse is picked up weekly on a Monday morning. Refuse needs to be placed on the front lawn for pick up.

13) Some of the closets may be locked and contain the owner’s items. Please respect these closets and do not attempt to open them as it will amount to theft or attempted theft.

14) Occupancy at anytime, for any reason is limited to the number of persons agreed as per your reservation. No additional person/s are allowed to occupy the home.

15) No pets or living creatures other than human beings are allowed on the premises. This does not include the odd visit from the Baboons who sometimes wander down into the back yard.

16) All vehicles must be parked on the premise (front or back yard) and not on the street or on neighbor’s property.

17) No skateboards, roller skates or any other modes of transportation besides walking is allowed in the house. Wheelchair access is available in 266 "B" Unit.

18) Washing of vehicles and or any water equipment on the premises is prohibited. Washing of clothes, bedding, sheets etc is highly encouraged. Please remember to rinse out any sand from clothing before using the washing machine/s.

19) Please keep the noise levels low and respect your neighbors. Music or loud sounds should be turned down around or before midnight.

20) Do not move furniture around the premise and do not take inside furniture to the outside. Outside furniture is not to be brought into the house.

21) Make fires/braai only in places that are provide and please assist in conserving nature.

22) Upon departure please make sure that the premises is generally tidy and all dishes are done, packed away etc.

23) Check the terms and conditions of your reservation and please comply with them all.

24) Please contact the property manager if there are any issues with electricity, water or any appliances. Problems in the unit will be handled in a timely and professional manner but are subject to availability of repair people, etc. There will be no refunds or adjustments for malfunctioning equipment.
