The apartment is very clean and very well furnished. The WI-FI is fast and reliable. Overlooks to the botanic garden, in walking distance to the center, but very quite. About 7 minuts to walk to the metro station "Universytet" and 10 minuts to the train station. Zhenya is a very nice person, she is uncomplicated and answered everytime very quickly. I highly recommend this apartment.

Zhenya was a wonderful host and the apartment was everything it advertised to be. The apartment was clean, comfortable and modern. Zhenya's dad was really helpful and accommodating. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Zhenya's apartment should you be staying in Kiev! :)

The first thing you should know about this listing is that it should be written in Russian. The fact that it’s in English implies that you will be able to speak English with the host. From my experience, that is not the case. I stayed at this apartment for a month and I never met or spoke with Zhenya. I only dealt with her parents, who seem like nice people, but people who don’t speak English. As for the apartment itself, the best thing I can say about it is that it’s centrally located. It’s across from a nice park and only a short walk from city center and a metro station. Other than that, the apartment is pretty run down. The hosts allow smoking, so there’s a lingering smell of stale cigarettes throughout the unit. There are loose floorboards that creak whenever you step on them, and the bed is uncomfortable and cheap. If you so much as turn over during the night you’ll rattle the bed frame and wake yourself up. The large couch in the living room is incredibly uncomfortable and should be replaced. It should also be mentioned that, despite advertising a kitchen, the apartment does not have an oven. So you should take that into consideration if you plan on cooking. The apartment has a nice balcony overlooking the park, but you have to share the balcony with a neighboring unit. The neighbors had several large parties during my visit that made sleeping difficult, so light sleepers should definitely pack ear plugs. And I hope you like baths, because there is no shower curtain in the tub. There’s also no curtain on the bathroom window, so don’t be shocked when you see neighbors looking at you as you use the toilet or bathe. Overall, I can’t recommend this apartment.

Very nice apartment and a pleasant host. Location is splendid! The botanical garden creates a special micro climate and one can enjoy always a fresh air and quiet surrounding while everything you want to see in Kiev is in close proximity either by foot, or metro. The apartment is clean and exactly as on the pictures. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is super cozy. The bathroom with a balcony is something..:) Irina, Zhenya's mom is warm, open and flexible host. We did late check in and check out. She was OK with that. And..thank you for the beautiful flowers for my mom's birthday! Next time in Kiev, I would definitely stay there again.
