Linda was an incredible hostess for us. She went out of her way to make sure we felt welcome. When we arrived she had cheese, wine, and a fresh baked cake for us. She was very helpful and great with communication with us prior to our trip. Her home was very clean with great views of the lake. I would recommend this place to anyone and look forward to another trip back in the future.

We arrived quite late at Linda's place but from the moment we stepped in we fell at home. We had dinner with Linda and the other guests and it was fantastic!!! Loads of stories, laugh and more. The view on the lake is breathtaking and the breakfast delicious. The bedroom is really lovely and the house simply gorgeous all wooden made by Linda's husband. We had a great time with Linda and will definitely recommend and come back without any hesitation.

We had a lovely stay at Linda's. The house is absolutely stunning overlooking Lake Taupo. We were also able to use the kitchen the second night to cook some dinner, which was great, as there are no close by restaurants or shops. The place is perfect if you want to head to Tongario National Park or the Glowworm Caves or if you just want to relax somewhere.

Linda is just a very lovely person who does everything to make your stay as perfect as possible in her very special wooden house. Weather was unfortunately very bad so we could not use the spectacular teracce or the kayak. It is definitly good to have car.

Arriving late afternoon allowed us to take a refreshing dip in Lake Taupo which is only 5 minutes walk from the lovely spacious sleepy accomadation. The bedroom was very clean and very comfortable and like the rest of the house, furnished with very attractive aim panelling. We had a very jolly sociable evening sharing the open plan kitchen with our hosts and then sharing drinks and stories - a very hospitable time - thank you very much!

I am a mother of four adult children and am looking forward to hosting guests from all over the world in our unique native timber home looking across Lake Taupo. I love living in the little village of Whareroa because it has everything to offer - from relaxed beach access to adventures in the bush and waterways. It is also close to the famous Tongariro crossing.

In my absence my daughter Tara and her partner Nico have been running the bed and breakfast, now I am back and looking forward to hosting future guests !
