High Pike is a spacious cottage attached to the 17th century Grade II listed High Greenrigg House. It was originally a barn and still retains the two story high barn doorway with its sandstone arch. There are two en-suite bedrooms, a king sized 4 poster on the first floor and a double on the ground. These have a shower room and a bathroom en-suite respectively. There's also an open plan kitchen (fully equipped), dining and living space on the first floor with views to the Northern Fells.

Neighbourhood highlights

High Greenrigg House and High Pike cottage are located in a quiet and peaceful area in the North Western corner of the Lake District National Park. This is a World Heritage site. Our nearest neighbour is 400m away. We are surrounded by a common and fields where sheep and cattle graze. We are also less than an hour away from another World Heritage Site: Hadrian's Wall. We have direct access to the Northern Fells. A short walk down a very quiet lane brings you to the bottom of Brae Fell and access to some 23 'Wainright' summits without a single road to cross. The nearest village is Caldbeck which has a pub (Oddfellows Arms), a village shop, two tea rooms and several craft/wool shops. The famous huntsman John Peel is buried in the churchyard. There are four larger towns just half an hour away where full services and facilities can be found: Cockermouth, Carlisle, Keswick and Penrith.
