The apartment was great. Completely equiped and very clear. We also liked the location, a short walk to the convention centre and also to nice bas and restaurants. Would definitely recommend

The apartment was spotless and very nicely furnished. It had all the modcons needed and comfortable beds. It is a lovely Victorian building and nicely restored. It was about a 4 block walk into the gas lamp distict and 2 block walk into Little Italy. We walked to the US Midway as well and that took about 20 minutes along the water front.

This is a wonderful small home 'from home' ... 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, beautifully decorated and restored. the location is just perfect for the hussle & bussle of the gaslamp quarter, and you can easily walk to many other sites in San Diego (which we did)... Parking is directly outside the house, and we never had any issues with finding a space, but there are lots across the road. Amy covered all our questions and all details and directions were perfect. Would I go back ? oh, yes !!! And I recommend you do the same too !!

Although I never met Amy in person, she was always friendly via email and quick to reply to my varied inquiries. We had no problems whatsoever before/during the booking, and I was very happy with her communication --and willingness to accommodate our early arrival. Thank you Amy. Re: the place itself, Notable pros: the key system makes it easy to share with multiple friends (we were four students staying 5 nights for a conference) ; the two bathrooms (one in one of the bedrooms) is definitely great; the kitchen is moderately well-stocked with pots and pans and basic things, even a coffee maker (though we found no tea kettle), and there is an iron + board which was great. TVs in all the rooms, though I am not sure we ever even turned one on... I liked going on morning runs and felt totally safe doing so alone (it's only a few mins by running to get to the water walkway) and there's also a really awesome park for children nearby. There's also a great info package that was left on the table...this was helpful (nearby grocery stores, restaurants, taxi info, etc).. Some cons: although it is TOTALLY walkable to the convention centre (I did this walk at least once a day for my 5 day long conference) it was a bit further than desired. That being said, it was a nice walk and a nice way to see a bit more of the city. And the money I saved on hotels was worth it to me. But do make sure you look realistically into your destination points if you will be travelling by foot. Not a lot of common-area space. It is smaller than we thought. The picture that shows the kitchen area is really the FULL common area (the photographer must be pressed right against the corner) but if you do not need a lot of space (the four of us were fine!) then that is also not a problem.

Great apartment, very central location. Could be noisy as on a main road.

Although the apartment was very nice, it was infested with FLEAS! We contacted Amy about this and she very promptly called in the pest control people. Apparently the fleas do not die instantly and we were bitten throughout out stay. Amy offered us a discount on our stay but unfortunately this has not appeared, which is very disappointing. Although the circumstances were some what out of control of the host, a little more effort in providing the promised compensation would have gone some way to overcome the discomfort we suffered.
