Stratford upon Avon is the home of everything Shakespeare, from the Birthplace to his other houses, and of course, his Theatres (there are 4).
We are also a short drive from Warwick (where there is the famous Warwick Castle) and gorgeous countryside.

Guests have access to a shared bathroom, lounge, kitchen, garden.

We will interact as much or as little as our guest(s) want us to; always here to help with information about our lovely town.

We have many interesting and excellent restaurants and pubs, the local river Avon (giving cruises every day). Stratford upon Avon is full of history and devoid of night clubs, the nearest night club being in Leamington spa.

The train station is a mile away. Taxi from there costs about £4.00GBP.
Flights come into Birmingham International airport and the train goes from there to our local station..

We are smokers and have pets (4 cats, 1 dog and 2 snakes) , so you must be pet-friendly.
Whilst we provide bedding and towels, you are responsible for providing your own toiletries and food.
If you are arriving on a weekday please ask for/advise arrival time.
Please allow at least 2 days from date of booking to date of arrival.

Snakes, 3 cats and a dog. I was asked when I arrived, "you don't mind snakes, do you?" and then told that they sometimes escape their tank but not to worry as the cats stare at where they have gone. This did not lead to a relaxing night's sleep. However, Carrie and her husband were incredibly helpful, welcoming, informative and helpful.

Response from Carrie:
My profile says we have various pets and are smokers. Some people have no sense of humour. The snakes are locked in a vivarium, and the guest was told this.

Carrie (and her husband) were very friendly and accommodating, providing helpful information and making me feel at home. The location is at walking distance from the city center. Although I feel it could perhaps have been cleaner, I enjoyed my visit.

The house and the bedroom is exactly the same as pictures. The location is good which is about 30 minutes' walk from the rail station and 20 minutes' walk from the town center. The neighborhood is nice and beautiful and quiet. Carrie and David are very helpful for accommodating me and carries sent all the information I might need ahead. Lovely cats and god by the way.

I had a wonderful 2 night stay at Carrie's place. Unfortunately Carrie was away while I was there, so I did not get to meet her, but her husband David was more than welcoming. He provided some great suggestions of things to see in Stratford and kindly gave me a lift to the bus stop as I was leaving. The location was very good, in a quiet area just a 20 minute walk into town, and the room was very comfortable. Their 4 cats and dog were all so lovely as well!

It is a shame I didn't get to meet you Bridie. David said you are lovely. You would be most welcome to visit us again.

Carrie was very nice and helpful. The neighbourhood was lovely too with lots of beautiful flowers and trees. I stayed there for only one night and enjoyed it.

Carrie was a very friendly and helpful host, and the room was exactly as promised - small but perfect for one person. She also provided toast, cereal and tea for breakfast, and recommended things to see and do in town. The house is about a mile from town, in a very quiet neighbourhood. The four beautiful cats are some of the friendliest and most affectionate I have ever met. I would very highly recommend this place to cat lovers (if you don't like them, you can always close the door)! There is also a lovely, friendly dog.

I'm married, but often travel abroad on my own. My goal is to visit as many Capital cities as I can.

I like photography, mainly architecture and monuments, reading and sitting outside a bar on a sunny day watching the world go by. I like to eat local, authentic food wherever I travel and experience their traditions.

As a guest, you won't see that much of me as I will be out and about every day and evening. I don't like hotels so tend to look for B&B's. This is my Airbnb debut.

As a host; I work during the day and am out 3 nights a week. I do ballroom dancing, perform in murder mystery events, and like to go to our local pub at the weekend. We have a small single room available; 20 mins walk from the town centre. I have yet to complete my Airbnb registration - I'm having problems with the telephone verification.

Stratford upon Avon is an old historic town, famous for Shakespeare.

My motto - Life is a dance and I love dancing
