Beautiful and walkable

Guests say this area is scenic and it’s easy to get around.
A recently refurbished traditional flint cottage located in the heart of the coastal village of Blakeney. This four bedroom cottage sleeps seven & includes one single room (with an additional pull out bed for an 8th guest if required). The cottage is a few minutes walk from the quay which offers crabbing, sailing, kayaking, bird watching and more while pubs & shops are also within easy walking distance. Further afield you can explore the many North Norfolk sandy beaches and charming villages.

The space
Since purchasing the house in 2020, we have made improvements throughout including a brand new kitchen, upstairs bathroom, redecoration and new heating and hot water system.

There is a private walled garden at the rear which is a lovely sun trap and also safe for dogs.

In addition to the 4 bedrooms, the cottage has 2 bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The ground floor comprises a kitchen with dining table and chairs (seating 8-10) together with a spacious living room and study area which can be separated with bi-fold doors if needed.

A utility room in an outbuilding houses a washing machine, tumble dryer, extra fridge and drying space. As well as crabbing nets, buckets and spades, deck chairs and other essentials for a holiday by the seaside. There is also a double kayak for guest use.

The cottage does not have private parking. There is space to pull in and unload on double yellows opposite. On street parking is available a few minutes walk away on the High Street (quay side end) but in busy periods this fills up quickly. Other options are:
- National Trust car park (at the quay side) - 5 minutes walk, pay and display or free for National Trust members
- Coronation car park (Blakeney High Street), pay and display 3 minutes walk
- Village hall car park, free, 10 minutes walk

The stairs are fairly steep so the cottage is not suitable for those with mobility difficulties. Likewise toddlers would need to be carefully supervised, although there is a door at the bottom of the staircase.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house and garden as well as the utility room (part of an outbuilding adjacent to the kitchen).

Other things to note
If you would like advice on arranging catering or home cooked food delivery during your stay then please do ask.

Likewise we also have a recommendation for beauty therapists who can come to the house to offer massages and beauty treatments. Love Pamper Company also offer a 5% discount off their advertised prices for packages booked in advance by confirmed guests at Beachstone House.

Finally, please note we can adjust the cleaning costs if not all bedrooms are used, please enquire for a revised price

Neighbourhood highlights

Blakeney is a charming coastal village with plenty to do for all ages. The area has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty owned by the National Trust and part of the Heritage Coastline. Make the most of the high tides with crabbing, kayaking, sailing and paddle boarding in Blakeney harbour, a short stroll from the cottage, or enjoy the many coastal walks through the Norfolk marshland which offers an abundance of bird watching and other wildlife. Blakeney point is home to England's largest grey seal colony and you can see them by hopping on a seal boat trip from Morston Quay.

There is a good local pub serving food just a few minutes walk away as well as the delicious Moorings Bistro. The Two Magpies Bakery is also less than 5 minutes walk while within 10 minutes you will find a Spar for general provisions. Our house book will give advice on the best local eating options.

Further afield there is lots to explore in North Norfolk from the sandy beaches of Wells and Holkham, to the halls at Blickling, Felbrigg, Houghton and Holkham and many historic and pretty villages along the coast.
