Description

The space

The flat is situated in the first floor of a house that was built in the 15th century. Especially the rock of the Kapuzinerberg in the entry and in the bathroom and also the original wooden ceiling in the living- and in the sleeping room make the flat very special.

Getting around

The bus station "Mozartsteg" is only 50 meters away. The bus takes you in 10 minutes directly to the railway station and in 15 minutes directly to the Airport.

Other things to note

Parking
Parking is free near the flat on the weekends from friday 7 p.m. to monday 9 a.m. On saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. you have to use a parking meter.
Usually it's really easy to find a parking space near "Steingasse". Along the "Imbergstraße" you should find a space and from there it's only a few meters to Steingasse. For the rest of the time I can recommend the car park "Contipark" in Dr.-Franz-Rehrl-Platz 4a. It costs € 12 / day. It's at the beginning of Steingasse, so not far away from the flat. There is also underground parking in Imbergstraße just around the corner to the flat, it costs € 25 / day.

Aparment is great! Easy to find, centrally located! Even greated with coffee for the mornings which is great! Would recommend this apartment for people who like to stay close to the action!

Easy to get to and from by bus or on foot and a good base to explore the city. Apartment is spacious and rustic rather than chic. Be careful, the hot water can be very hot! The narrow cobbled street can be a bit noisy if the windows are open. Near to some good restaurants, especially L'Osteria

Our 3 night stay in Salzburg was fantastic and the apartment was both large and homely. It is ideally located to be able to visit all the attractions and restaurants in the center of Salzburg. Gunter gave us excellent instructions and left all the information for us to enjoy our stay. When we return to Salzburg, we will choose this apartment as our first choice.

GREAT location!! A little difficult to get to via taxi because it's pedestrian only, but the taxi dropped us fairly close and we were at the there in two minutes. We had no trouble gaining entry via the instructions Gunter had emailed. The flat is very spacious, much more so than I assumed from the pictures online. Gunter was very friendly and quick to respond to my emails and very nicely let me book quite far in advance. The flat is located on the right bank which is the opposite side of the river from old town, but it takes no time to get over there and there are some great sights on the right side as well, so be sure to make time to go up Linzergasse as well. I really loved the rock wall and beams and walking out into the narrow alley way, you definitely feel like you're staying in a piece of history. One note, getting a taxi back to the metro was tricky. It was a heavy snowstorm and we did not plan ahead. We started walking hoping one would happen by with no luck, so I finally asked a local bar owner to call one for us. Pure luck he was there stocking supplies. If you will need a taxi I would suggest setting one up ahead of time.

Spacious apartment in a very central location. It looks exactly like it does in the photos. It was a 15 minute walk from the central train station and a 5 minute walk into town or old town. Gunter was a great host. He was always available to contact and left very clear instructions on how to use everything in the apartment. Checkin and checkout were really easy. The only issue we had was the water is off peak so there was only enough water for myself and my husband to have one shower each. I didn't realise this until I got halfway through washing my hair one evening and had cold water the rest of the shower so I had to go to my parents apartment and use their shower. Other than this the apartment was great and I would stay again.

This is a quiet apartment in a quaint historical street. Ideally placed for the Old Town and at the edge of the New Town. One flight of stairs up, easy access arrangements despite Gunter not being there in person. The apartment was cosy and had all the important stuff. Nice bars and restaurants nearby but no noise from them as they are along the street a bit. We had a great time and recommend the apartment.
