Loved staying here with a small group of girls. It is an adorable mountain home with great views and a secluded feel despite being only 2.5 miles from downtown. Very charming, would definitely stay again!

Comfortable home, beautiful mountain views, and convenient location. We were looking for a spot that was close to the downtown but provided a more secluded (although not too secluded) mountain setting with an outdoor amenity as our group planned a stay for four nights and wanted to balance both the town and relaxing at the house. Pros: Driving directions from Sydney were spot on, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps also accurate, and Uber drivers seemed to have no problem. An Uber ride was about $10-12. House was decently clean minus some dust and cobwebs. Beds were comfortable and rooms/upstairs loft were plenty big. Kitchen had pretty much everything we needed except dish detergent (the box was near empty). Cons: Unfortunately, the hot tub did not work properly. It had issues staying on and heating to a normal hot tub temperature. This was a big disappointment for us as the we ultimately chose this home for the hot tub (there are so many great mountain Airbnb options but not many featured a hot tub). We contacted Sydney as soon as we checked in regarding the problem and she attempted to help us troubleshoot via Airbnb messenger but we still didn't have any luck throughout our stay and back/forth communication. While no repairman was sent to assist, Sydney was kind enough to provide us with a small refund for the inconvenience. Another thing to note is that the second bathroom on the top floor does not feature a practical shower. Although, it is in fact a full bathroom with a toilet, sink, and tub present, you can't really use the tub as a shower. The tub is nestled into the corner of the A-frame with a handheld shower device attached in the middle, but it's attached mid-height so in order to bathe in this bathroom you'd either (a) take a bath (probably an uncomfortable one) or (b) hold the hand held shower head yourself as you awkwardly maneuver around the space. Simply standing under the shower head is not an option. So keep in mind that although this home does have two full baths, it's more functional as a 1.5 bath. Luckily, since my group was well-acquainted and woke up around the same time, we were still able to work around these minor disappointments. If you're looking for a home that is convenient to downtown Asheville but nestled away somewhere beautiful on the mountains, this is a good option. If you're choosing homes based on having two full baths and/or hot tubs, this one might not be the best choice.

This place it's the place to be. Close enough to the city but in the mountain, in the woods... a-ma-zing. It is just 10 - 15 min from everything !!!

The location is great--it's an easy drive (just over 5 minutes) into downtown Asheville, but it is far enough up into the mountains to seem very remote. The views are beautiful. The beds were comfortable, the living area spacious, and the hot tub was fantastic.

Beautiful setting! And the hot tub on the deck was a great feature, after a day of hiking, zip lining or exploring Asheville. Great place!

Vacation ruined!!! For booking this a month in advance we had very high hopes, however that all changed soon as we arrived. While walking across the porch to retrieve the key from the lock box I could see all the bed linens, and dirty laundry on the living room floor. I immediately knew the house hadn't been cleaned since the previous guests were there. I continued to the lock box only to find it was empty. We tried to contact Sydney and has no success (via Airbnb, phone, and text). We finally found a key sitting on the porch railing (opposite side of property from where the lock box is). We went into the home and confirmed the house hadn't been cleaned. All the beds were stripped and the remaining blankets and pillows just thrown onto them, bathrooms were messy, and the hot tub didn't look clean, and smelled funny. We couldn't get ahold of Sydney to figure the situation out, Airbnb had to get involved. Unfortunately for us they were not able to provide us with another property in the Asheville area. We ended up having to stay over an hour from Asheville! This really put a damper on our "Asheville vacation". We also wasted 3 hours the day of check in trying to fix the situation Sydney caused for us.
