This light filled art-studio is ideally suited for artists and working professional who seek extended stays in the Brooklyn Navy Yard neighborhood. Located adjacent to the Stiener Studios, enjoy the Fort Greene and Clinton Hill neighborhoods.

The space

The studio has a small private bedroom with a queen bed, a studio/living area, with a second queen sized bed, a private bath and a modest kitchenette. The studio is in a secure area with private parking.

This legal NY Airbnb space is part of a larger artist, live/work loft space. As a result I am selective in terms of who we host, so please share details of yourselves and your trip. Let me know your needs and I will do the most to make this a rememberable experience. The studio is just around the corner from Mast Brothers chocolates, the Brooklyn Coffee Rosters and fresh backed bread and sweets from Fresh Fanatic our organic grocery store. The space has a small fridge, microwave, hotplate and coffee machine, and a small selection of cookware, utensils, and eating/drinking-ware. The private bathroom consists of a granite shower, sink, and toilet. Wireless internet is also available as needed. As a requirement of the building management, I will ask that guests sign a liability waiver upon sign in.

Guest access

Guest will benefit from a secured entrance. Long stay guest will also benefit from cleaning and laundry services and a parking pass.

Interaction with guests

I have lived in the property for over 15 years and have seen the neighborhood transformed into what it is now -- a thriving creative fun destination. I live and work in the adjoining space as a full time artist with my son and dog. When this space is not used for guests it is used as an active studio. Feel free to ask me anything about the city. I'll be happy to share with you my favorite dives, restaurants, and knowledge of the art community.

Cool space, but must be adventurous! Bradley And Natasha are gracious host who checked in with us often to make sure everything was cool. The space is definitely FUNKY! (Cool funky, not funky funky) But it's definitly NOT a hotel, if thats what you're looking for. Bed was comfortable, futon couch and a couple of chairs. All mismatched! The building itself is very industrial with many business on the floor. But there is a vineyard on the roof to drink at and enjoy the brilliant Manhattan skyline at sunset. Also near is the Kings County Distillery serving only their house made bourbons, ryes and MOONSHINE! All exceptional. I can tell you from experience. Convenient walking distance to DUMBO and all it has to offer. F train to NYC is about a 7 to 10 minute walk. I would say that a week to 10 days is about how long I would stay here. We had to stay for a month while waiting for our new apartment to be ready. It was a bit long to be in a place with no kitchen to speak of (only a toaster oven, microwave , hot plate, hot water kettle and a teeny tiny fridge) But if you are here to be out and about in Brooklyn for a few days or even a week, this is a great fun alternative to a more luxurious arrangement.

Setup of complex was a little complicated, place was kinda grungy, but I'd book again and the hosts were really nice. Location was somewhere between perfect/amazing and the price was decent.

I work in the Brooklyn Navy Yard but generally commute from Central New Jersey, daily. This summer I have a 4- week project at the Navy Yard and I was fortunate to find this hideaway that provided me a clean, convenient, comfortable space to sleep and do my prep work at night for the following day. If you need a base from which to pursue work-related ventures in the Brooklyn, Steiner Studios area, or want to be able to engage in urban explorations and activities around NYC, you are in walking distance to bus, Ferry, and subway conveyances and there is also parking if you are driving. Plus, it is the studio loft of an incredibly gifted artist who is a very accommodating, friendly and gracious host. Bradley., Thanks !!!

Bradley's artist studio was perfect for me. As long as you don't require upscale accommodation and a bodega right outside your door it is great. Only about a 10 minute walk to the F line. The bed and shower were great. I liked how quiet it is there at night. A very unique Airbnb. I will stay again.

I am a mid-career professional artist and I work from my home studio. One year ago I purchased this loft, after having lived in the building for more than 15-years. I share it with my ten-year old son and our dog. We love the neighborhood and I’m a great resource when it comes to local attractions, kid friendly activities, and the New York art scene.
