The Wing in Målilla Älgpark is an unique accomodation in the middle of a moose park. As guests in our houses you have free access to the park all hours of the day to take a walk, play on the playground or get more acquainted with the moose, deer, goats, rabbits and chickens. The vicinity also offers fantastic lakes, endless forests and popular sights such as Astrid Lindgrens World.
Welcome to Målilla Älgpark!
The space
The Wing is a large holiday home with lots of space and good standard. The house is practical och fits the big family or several families travelling together. It is suitable for six adults and the rest of the beds are for children and young people.
The house is situated by the moose park parking, very close to the entry to the park were the playground and the farm animals (goats, bunnies and chickens) are. And off course, the moose. Your nearest neighbours are the Österberg family who rund the farm. We live in the manor house by the parking.
Park guests will pass by the house during opening hours but you have a private garden behind your house. You can park your cars by the house.
You will share the moose park with us who live here including our dogs and other house guests outside opening hours.
The nearest lake suitable for children and swimming is about 10km away. There are several different lakes to choose from. If you would like to go fishing, our part of the stream that runs by the property is available. A fishing card is required in other waters and lakes.
Available on the ground floor:
- One bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed for two children.
- A spacious and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. All the equipment you need to cook and eat is in place. Feel free to use what you find in the cupboards and you are welcome to leave fresh and clean food that you dont want to take with you when you leave.
- Dining room with a big table and many chairs, and two high chairs for children. Cushions for the outdoor furniture is in one of the closets.
- Big living room with two sofa areas. There is a tv with blu-ray player and some movies in the living room. You are welcome to bring your own movies to watch. There are also some books and board games in the house. There are no Tv-channels or internet connection.
- The exit to your private garden is at the back of the house. It contains of a lawn, garden furniture and a charcoal grill.
- One bathroom with toilet, basin and shower and one with toilet and basin.
- Entry hall with room for jackets, shoes and a stroller.
- Small laundry room with a washing machine, drying rack, vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies.
Available on the first floor:
- One bathroom with toilet, basin and shower.
- Two bedrooms with double beds. One travel cot for small children is available.
- Two smaller bedrooms with two single beds in each.
(Extra beds are available, ask if needed.)
Guest access
Our guests rent the entire house and its garden/private space. In addition to that you have free access to the moose park area with all the animals, playground and shop whenever you like. The entrance fee is included in the house price. Check out the Målilla Älgpark website for more infromation.
You will get information as an accomodation guest on arrival, about the park, animals and what´s ok and not.
You need a car to get to us and it/they can be parked by the house.
Other things to note
Please note that final cleaning and bed linen/towels are not included in the price. Cleaning costs 2500kr and bed linen/towels cost 200kr per person. Please book this at least two weeks before arrival. Additional services are payed with card or cash in the moose park shop. You are welcome to clean yourselves and all cleaning supplies needed is in the house as well as check list. There are duvets and pillows for all beds.
