Where you’ll be

Na h-Eileanan an Iar, Scotland, United Kingdom

The beautiful white sandy beaches of the Western shore are only two miles away, bordered by stunning machair dunelands covered in wildflowers and are abundant with birdlife. The Uists hold breeding bird populations of international importance, including Hen Harriers, Eagles and Phalarope. Snowy Owls are also a regular visitor to the Uists! Beside the beach is also the famous 18 hole Askernish Golf Course which was orginally laid out by Old Tom Morris in 1891 and which has recently been lovingly restored.

Daliburgh and Lochboisdale are only a few miles away, providing a variety of services including shops, cafe, fish & chips, post office, doctor's surgery, filling station, garage, bank and tourist information. The Uists also offer cafes, bistros and hotels where you can enjoy excellent local food and drink. As well as a museum, local arts & crafts, horse riding, boat tours and much more.
