Just 90 min from Quito, our private cabin is perfect for explorers seeking comfort in the middle of nature.

Enjoy 360° views, a queen bed, two sofa beds, a fully equipped kitchen, hot shower, and backup batteries in case of power outages.

The space
Adventure, privacy, and comfort. The loft is secluded within an 80-hectare reserve that is undergoing reforestation.

Wake up to the songs of birds and fall asleep to the sounds of fireflies and the jungle.

You can take walks within the property to the cloud forest, where a small stream awaits your exploration.

Guest access
Please note that access is via a dirt road, which may have potholes depending on the weather. A 4X4 vehicle is recommended.

We strive to maintain the road within the reserve in good condition; however, please be aware that the weather is rainy and landslides can occur overnight. Poor conditions and darkness can be dangerous for guests and staff. We will not allow our staff to meet guests arriving late beyond the latest arrival time of 6:00 p.m. Therefore, plan to arrive before 6:00 p.m. on the day of check-in.

Although we have a caretaker available for basic needs, such as fresh towels and trash collection when full, please note that we do not have concierge service.

This community of houses is isolated, with no neighboring homes within the same space.

Our neighborhood is peaceful and offers a river just a 30-minute walk within the property. The house is secluded and secure, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Additionally, there is parking space right in front of the house.

Other things to note
The Andean Chocó was declared a new Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. In recent decades, the property was dominated by cattle ranching, but with the arrival of the new generation, we decided to take a new path and start caring for the Andean Chocó. To achieve this, we joined forces with FONAG of Ecuador and began the reforestation process of the Reserve. We successfully restored 14 hectares to the cloud forest and planted over 10,000 trees.

In 2021, we created three spaces within the reserve as Hummingbird Sanctuaries to give them back their home. We are on the path to becoming 100% solar-powered and fully self-sustainable.

Dogs and pets are welcome! Please take under consideration our pet policies.

The bedrooms are completely open and share space with the living room, dining room, and kitchen. This design provides a 360-degree view from any area of the house.

Remember to bring insect repellent for sunset and walks in the reserve. Being surrounded by nature, you may encounter grasshoppers, or some of the caretaker's dogs, as well as various insects and birds. However, they are always just passing through the garden and do not bother anyone. It is part of our ecosystem.

It is the perfect place to connect with nature!

Choco 701 is located at the Choco Andino Biosphere Reserve. The region is considered a biodiversity hotspot gathering some 270 species of mammals, 210 reptiles, 200 birds species and 130 amphibians. It is surrounded by other farming properties, the closest populated area is Barrio Miraflores, about 5 minutes by car. Other places worthy of a visit in the proximity are: Nanegalito (10 minutes), Museo Sitio Tulipe (archeological site, 20 minutes), Mindo (40 minutes). Peaceful and quiet, surrounded by nature.
