What a wonderful place! It feels like a sanctuary, quiet and beautiful. But at the same time you can see a lot of what goes on in daily village life: you can watch the farmers working on the rice paddy, a guy climbing up the coconut tree to collect nectar, the chickens running around. The little houses of bale ku and the surrounding area are so visually stunning, sometimes you feel like you are in a moving painting.
Lis and Sutar were amazing. They organized tours, surfing lessons, you don't have to do any work at all. I got a sunburn, Lis asked her niece to go to her parents garden and bring me back some freshly cut aloe vera. I was sick whilst I was there too and they were really caring. It was like staying with friends, they often invited me out for dinner or partying with them. Lis is also an excellent cook and hers is some of the best food you'll have in Indonesia.
A fantastic place to stay!
