I stayed here for a week while working at the UN office. The location is brilliant - just a short walk from the UN office and very close to central Bonn. Sibylle is a lovely host, very welcoming and generous - there was tea & coffee and a kettle in the room, and she had a spare s…

It's a pretty room with a great scenic view of the mountains. The room has basic necessities and works perfectly for couple nights stay. I recommend the room, if one is in Bonn for work and not certain it's spot for a holiday stay (when one wants to spend loads more time in the a…

This house is s (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) beautiful and everything detail is so thought through. The space, the furnitures. The room is simple in a minimalistic way and the view is amazing. Big wall sized windows towards a mountain view!! I defenetly recommend this place!

I booked a room in Sybille’s apartment for one month, 14 days for me and my boyfriend and 14 days just for me (since we were moving into Bonn for work). The room was very nice, with a lot of space for luggage and clothes, and a writing desk. The bathroom was nice also, even if sh…

Dear Francesca I am sorry but I have to clarify a few things which are stated a bit misleading in your comment: 1) it is wrong, that the shared bathroom was not indicated, airbnb backed up my position in that, as you know. 2) the rent includes the room and a bathroom. It was clear from the beginning that using our kitchen is an act of courtsy from our side. the first floor is our living floor where everything is open, like in a loft. Therefore 'heavy cooking' is not an option, as I informed you. Obviously that meant for you something different, and frying chicken in a pan is 'heavy smelly cooking' and quiet reckless. You continued cooking in the kitchen - with 'heat', making pasta and frying sausages, so I am sorry but you got a bit confused in your statement. 3) renting a room with a bathroom does not include using our kitchen table, without asking, and without cleaning it afterwards... 4) it says quiet clearly that the sheets and the towels are changed every 2ed week. A more frequent change is possible but is charged extra. Unfortunately you did not ask for this possibility, as you did not ask at all for anything... 5) we provide toilettpaper, but we are not checking every day and need to be informed when it is out, since we are not a Hotel with 24h services...unfortunatelly you did not let me know, when the toilettpaper had to be replaced but rather prefered to buy your own one... 6) the cleaning of the bathroom is every week and the cleaning of the room every 2 weeks, stating there was no cleaning for 1 month, I am sorry to say that is just not true... 7) the incident with the water leak coming from the guest-shower is of course very unpleasent, but things like that happen. The problem was solved as fast as possible, what was also confirmed by the airbnb support. Nevertheless 2 days the shower could not be used. There is only one other shower - that is our privat one and this shower could also not be used, due to the same issue, as I had told you. So probably you did not understand everything I said properly. Though there was not really an working (Website hidden by Airbnb) the case that our private shower would have been functional I defenitely would not have offered you this one based on the experience how you used the guest shower - spilling masses of water all over and leaving it in a mess. 8) in fact washing yourself in a sink is not so inhuman as you draw it and about 50 years ago it was for a lot of people quiet normal... and looking into the rest of the world it is still quiet privileged... 9) in fact I suggested you to contact the airbnb support, since it was not possible to talk to you in a normal mature way on this issue, since you reacted a bit hysterical... 10) my impression of the first airbnb mediation person was that she actually confused things quiet a bit. After confirming me that I was handling the shower issue very professional and fast and that it would not be possible to solve the problem faster then I did, suddenly a complet other issue came up, which was never before mentioned to me by you Francesca, namely that you would like to leave earlier then booked, saving some money, since you had found an apartment to live in... this issue was mixed with the shower issue and after 2 weeks you had been in the room for the first time I was confronted with the point that you had expected a non-shared bathroom. I do not quiet understand why you had not mentioned that in the beginning, for instance, but as I previsouly already stated - communication is obvioulsy a difficult issue for you... 11) I never stated anything like "you have no right to have a shower" or anything similar, but if the shower cannot be used, it cannod be used! There is nothing that can be changed on that and it is just a matter of adequat adaption to this new and temporary situation, which seesm to be difficult for you as well... 12) the cultural difference issue was actually brought up by the airbnb lady...I would never make such a statement! – Traveling and living on all continents over the past years I have learned that in the end there are always human beeings that want to understand each other or that do not want to understand each other - cultural differences as a term is used when you do not want to understand each other... 13) initially the airbnb lady asked or better required a refund by means of reducing the accomodation time for 3-4 days. This was never executed and there was no refund for anything through airbnb or myside after they had realised that there have been quiet some false statements and accusations been made from your side (cleaning, shared bath etc.), that you missed to mention that I offered to wash your clothes (you also did not mention that in your above statement...since it would not quiet fit into the picture you are trying to draw...), that you just served yourself, without ever asking, from the spices and the olive oil (biological from Greece from our friends...) sitting on the kitchen – for our private use and using our dinner table just as if would be yours... 14) the leakage of the shower was repaired only provisional - anything else would have not been possible in 2 days...therefore the shower procedure had to be adapted by you. For most people a 5 minute shower is quiet normal, but since your showers took about 15-20minutes each time before this is of course a harsh restriction. The slow drain was caused by yourself since you removed constantly the lid on the drain that is ment to inhibit hairs from clocking the drain, what actually happend... Dear Francesca, I am completely with you in the last sentence. You and your boyfriend have been really the rudest guests I had in the past 10 years of experience with renting out apartments and rooms to guests from all over the world, here in Bonn and in Switzerland.
