A private room and bath with microwave/fridge/laundry close to Seattle attractions as well as UW. Access to fantastic bike trails and only minutes local bus line makes this a superb in-city rental option.

The space

The private studio is cozy and comfortable in our NE Seattle home overlooking Lake Washington. Guests will have complete privacy in their bedroom and access to their private bath. In addition the shared laundry and mini-kitchen area gives them access to a microwave, coffeemaker, sink and fridge for light meals. I have listed the space as accommodating 3. If you are traveling with children and open to having them sleep on the floor with an airbed we can make some arrangements. I will not accept rental for more than 2 adults in the space as it may not be comfortable for 3 adults in one room.

Guest access

The guests will have access to the private entrance of basement bedroom (step down a basement stairwell of 9 steps), shared laundry area which includes Fridge/Microwave/Sink/Coffee Pot, private bath next to the laundry area. During nice weather the guests can come up to the outdoor deck area and relax with the views of Lake Washington.

There is plenty of street parking for your car.

Interaction with guests

We are parents of two active 11 year olds and depending on the time of arrival of the guests, we are happy to meet and greet as we live upstairs. The unit is self-catering and has a keyless entry so guests can come and go as they please during their stay.

Other things to note

We are a family of 4 with 11 year old twins. They are happy and busy kids. The space for rent is away from their typical daily life and they are at school during the day or out and about during the weekends. On weeknights, they retreat to their bedrooms on the 2nd floor of the house by 8:30 p.m and on weekends by about 9:30 p.m. Since the room is in the basement and we live upstairs, please expect normal family activity. We will be respectful of your privacy. We also own a dog but he is not allowed in the basement so there is no worry of pet allergies to be concerned with. He does go out in our front yard which is completely fenced and away from the rental space.

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. I loved everything about it. The description of the unit is very accurate. I felt like I was staying in a luxury bed and breakfast.

The room was very clean and nice sized. It was bigger than I expected. The separate entrance/exit from the main house was also very nice. This was my first airbnb experience and Archana was great. Very accommodating. The only negative (if u can even call it that) thing I would say is it's a little far from shopping if u don't have a rental car but an uber was about $10 to University Village so not a real big deal. There's no tv in the room either but honestly, that was ok w me. I'd def go back and stay there again.

Such a sweet and welcoming family. We stayed there for a month and we had a FUNtastic time. The location is perfect, close to downtown (minus the traffic lol). There is a beach and a bike trail on walking distance. Beautiful scenery. Nothing more to ask for! Very pleased with the experience.

Thank you Archana, the place was clean and comfortable and was in a perfect location for our visit in north Seattle. Clear communication made it all run smoothly and the room was very private.

Clean, quiet, efficient space as advertised! Archana was great for quick and efficient communication, the neighborhood is lovely and peaceful, and the space was great for our weekend stay.

Our stay at Archana’s place was exactly what we expected. The location is first rate! The accommodations are exactly as described in the description online, and the space met our specific needs quite well. (As others have noted, if you’re looking to prepare your own meals, this location may not be the best match.) But if what you need is an affordable, clean and comfortable place to stay, this is a winner! Archana was very helpful and clear in communicating and was very welcoming. She was wonderful to work with!

Hi! Welcome to our home. I am Archana and originally from India and I live with my husband and twins who are turning 9 this spring. We are an active family and super involved in our local community and public school. Our kids are scouts and we are routinely out hiking, biking and on the nearby soccer fields. I love to cook a bunch, travel a ton and take too many photos of both food and landscapes. Our kids have been to far off places like the Cook Islands and we think travel is sometimes more educational than just reading text books! My husband is a busy IT professional and is an avid biker and mathlete.

While we enjoy traveling we consider Seattle the best place to live and raise our family. So come visit us and get to know our fantastic city.
