Beautiful, spacious, light filled, charming, floor-through private one bedroom (plus study) apartment. Furnished in mid-century modern style on the second floor of a landmarked historic Brooklyn brownstone on a tree-lined street in Fort Greene.

The space

Large bright charming floor-through private one bedroom apartment with study / office on the second floor of a historic landmarked historic Brooklyn brownstone on a beautiful tree-lined street in the heart of Fort Greene.

The building has lots of original character, with built in shutters, parquet hardwood floors, crown molding and fireplaces (non-working unfortunately).

The apartment is large approximately 750 sqft with six large windows (east / western exposures) getting amazing morning and afternoon light, fully furnished in mid-century modern style, complete with Eames lounge chair to read in-- a great quiet and bright space to relax in. During the warmer months with the trees in full bloom, it can feel like a tree-top sanctuary.

Super comfortable eco-friendly organic Keetsa mattress to sleep on. The bright compact kitchen is fully equipped with almost all imaginable small appliances and tools for your use. Bathroom with full bathtub and awesome kohler rain shower. No cable television but I do have chromecast.

*This apartment is most ideally for one guest only, to maintain the building's dynamic but I may consider an exception for two for the right fit*

The apartment is also only available when I am away, which can be frequent so there is a lot of flexibility. Please send a message to inquire about dates to confirm availability before trying to book.

This space is also available for film / photo shoots.

Interaction with guests

If you're booking my apartment I'm more than likely traveling out of the city or country so our interaction will be very minimal.

Other things to note

This is a historic building built in 1899, it has it quirks and charms. This is my home and sanctuary I'm sharing with you when I'm away, it's not a hotel.

I have quite a few plants. I would appreciate it if you could look after them if you're staying in my space for more than a couple days.

Buzzer only works as doorbell.

There is no backyard access from the building.

Had a fantastic month staying in Sane's tranquil corner of Brooklyn. Only a 5 min walk to pretty much everything (from Deli's and nice bars to the launderette and Subway into the city). Was a great location for the Barclays Centre (10 min walk) and I really enjoyed 'living' here after a tough first working month moving from London. Sanae was an exceptional host, on hand to greet me and offer advise (often daily) into settling in. She made my first steps into NY that much easier. Would recommend staying here without hesitation.

Sanae was perfect. She was easy going and helpful in making all the arrangements leading up to our stay. During the stay she checked in appropriately and was very kind. The place was lovely, a perfect location (right by the train, and easy walking and/or general travelling to Fort Greene and other areas of BK and Manhattan, etc.). Thank you Sanae for being the best!

We had a great stay in Sanae's absolutely gorgeous apartment! The vibe of the apartment is just great, equipped with everything we needed and so many interesting books. The neighborhood was just perfect for us as well with restaurants and grocery stores close by and even a small book store and many more small shops just around the corner.

Great experience I was relocating from the west coast and I had 2 weeks to wait till I could move into my own apt. Staying here made time fly and transitioned me from feeling like an extra long business trip to feeling like I was already a local. If you love the character of a brownstone you will enjoy this place it is smartly decorated while still making it feel homey. And you can't beat the access to Ft. Greene, Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights and Manhattan if you need to commute. Sanae was an attentive host ahead of checkin giving great recommendations. If I needed to stay locally again I would definitely stay here.

Wonderful place with a great host. Larger than it looks. Which says plenty for NY. Walking distance to great local Resturants... Enjoy
